Went and looked at these old cars sitting in the woods. The owner is slowly s****ping them,a few cars a week.We are going back on Tuesday to get some parts. Here is a link to the rest of the pics. http://s135.photobucket.com/albums/q142/mazdaslam/Rockport%20junkyard/
Probably could.I will ask him on Tuesday if I can give out his contact info. It's not really a "junkyard" more like stuff that he has collected.
Nice pics. I love to see this stuff but at the same time I hate to see this stuff. That Hemi is crazy, just sitting there. I hope some of this goes to good use.
I'm with ya on that.It is really cool that there are places like this yet at the same time it ****s that they have been sitting, getting worse by the day.Hopefully we can save some parts to live,on another car.
Man, what a terrible sight, all those cars gone to waste. That Buick woodie wagon, those Hemi's, all those convertibles, and those Mercs. I'm looking all over for parts to build my '55 Belvedere Taildragger and there sits 2 that would have made good parts cars 10-15 yrs ago. Next time you're out there, could you check to see if any of those Plymouths had poly 260 engines, I'm dieing to find a 4 bbl intake for one. I know they had a dealer option intake and carb for them, have heard of 2 for sale, haven't seen any. I'm not sure if the Poly 318 intakes will fit it, so that's no real help. If anyone has the answer to that, I'd like to hear it. Well, guess I better go dry my tears and go on...............Oh to have been in that junkyard 20 yrs ago........sniff, sniff. Thanks for the pics though, I love seeing how some of the older cars have ended. Jerry
I see a few 60 Chevy Wagons. Any chance he might have Nomad tailgate trim? If you could ask- I'd totally appreciate it. Scott
