Well, I haven't been on much lately, been busier than shit, anyway, I figured I'd share my new Pick-up I got a few months ago. I got it off a good friend of mine and have been getting it road worthy to drive home since its been sitting for about 15 years. Enjoy Drew Here is the worst part of it, it had sat under some trees for along time and leaves piled up in the drip rail and trapped water under them and proseeded to destroy my roof. Wow, farm fresh! I just bought a '54 f100 to haul parts while working on my 29 PU. Now I have to do some work on the f100 before it can perform those tasks. Maybe a little customizing along the way. What are your plans for it? I'm missing that San Diego sunshine! San Diego was fun until the fires came. I had to start all over in Portland. Bummer! -Erik
Is that the stock 272? Does it run? Will you be selling it? I wish I knew how to post pictures. I'd like to post the pics of my 56 F100 (stock 6) I bought mine from the son of the original owner...it sat in a 3 car garage for 12 yrs before I bought it. The truck has 137,000. The engine (6) has 30,000 on a rebuilt (per the son). The body is perfect except for a dented up front bed panel, the son put a sheet of finished plywood to cover it. He also painted it some Corvette orange/brown color. It was all undercoated at one time. The only thing really wrong with it is all the rubber got rotten from just sitting. The carburetor and the fuel pump leaked all over the place before I replaced them. The windows don't rattle but the doors do because there's no rubber left. My truck is the reason I'm on the H.A.M.B. ...to learn.
Thanks For all the cool comments, Good to see ya again scoob, I see your lookin' for another glass hood, "Glasser II" maybe? Yea it's pretty much all stock accept the engine is a 292 out of an early 60's F100. I plan on keepin' it as long as I can find a decent roof or 56' cab for it as the rest of the truck is pretty solid. For now it will just be my daily driver/parts hauler while I try to get my 34' on the road for the summer. As for my vicky, it's still just a pile of parts in the back yard waiting it's turn, I'm what you call project rich right now, but I don't want to let go of any of them. So now I'm just the proverbial "I'm gonna fix them up some day" asshole, but oh well. Drew
