Any one got one they're using? Thoughts on it? Good? Bad? Indifferent? Problems? (sorry for asking so many questions!)

  2. Great engine , lots of torque , no overheating , looks really cool, ran one with no mufflers on my Model A and it sounded great. I could go around a corner and leave it in 4th gear and it would just pull right away with no lugging while running a 3:50 rear.

The only real problem is finding the pieces to bolt a real transmission to it. Speed equipment is still fairly plentiful, especially for the early ('53-'56) engines.

Ran one for years in a 49 F-1. good torque good engine. I traded it to a guy for some parts when it got real tired. It was powering thru the flathead HD 3 speed truck transmission.

    I have a 322ci Fireball myself in a '54 Buick Roadmaster. Where's a good source for speed parts- particularly a 3x2 intake?

nailheads are great period motors that can be had rather easily, the problem is finding somehting to mate it too that can handle the power they are capable of building. I have one for sale its a '54 thats not locked and complete. First 100 takes it home.
