alright i have it on blocks but i wanna get it low but im on a budget bags or no bags give me a shout
cut yer springs, put 2 and 3 inch lowering blocks, take out 2 leaf springs.... nice and low, but bumpy as hell unless you step notch but then you also have to raise your tunnel, and maybe rerout your exhaust.. well it what i had to do...but it looks damn good
De-arched rear spring's. Reversed eye's. Step the A-arm's 2" w/ 1-2 coil's nipped in the ft. Save up for nice ($!) shorter shock's.
front- drop uprights from buffalo enterprises, cut 2 coils, bend steering arms. rear- posies drop leaf springs (or remove 2 leafs) + 3" blocks that is the combo for as low as possible, for the least cost, without a c-notch or z-ing the front frame. any more requires work and $
hahahaha!!! I've been debating putting links to threads about lowering Chevys in my sig Here's one I found by typing "lowering+chevy" and searching in ***les only: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=142852&highlight=%26quot%3Blowering+chevy%26quot%3B Bryan
hey guys thanx alot im thinkin of doin the dropped spindles and taking out some leafs but i know its a bumpy ride but i dont wanna spend 1500 bux to do it thanx alot guys
at the risk of repeating what already's been said. Let me Put things in to prespective the lowest you can ever get on your car, is to ride on the bumpers. That is as low, as it will get. The cheapest way, to get it there is to cut two coils of the springs and Put 3'inch lowering blocks on the back . Pulling springs out or arching springs wont put you anylower. Unless you want to spend money on Drop spindels or c'ing Your rear frame. You can do all of this For Under $30.00 bucks! Have your u-bolts made at max's Spring (in Highland,ca) and for the block's go to a sheetmetal company, Have them cut 2x 3'inch long Seamless tow Hitch pieces of stock and stand those upright. The seamless Tow Hitch stock, is stronger And By standing it upright, it is the same width of the Leaf springs. The leaf spring bolt center wont get into the way. This is How My boyfriend, has his and the ride is pretty smooth, Just be sure to leave the Rubber stops in ALWAYS! We left them out , and it was slamming pretty bad, he put them back on and now it is Quiet and smoother. =) Hope that Helps!=) Alexis
use the uprights from a 49 - 54 chevy, gives you 1" drop, cut coils max 1 - 1,5 turns in front.( give 2 - 2,5" extra) Use blocks rear, 3.5 " possible, and dearch the rear leaf to flat.( lowers 4-5")
