A piece I did of David Lee Roth back in the "REAL" Van Halen days. Done back in 1985 and just recently gave the piece to his mother that is a customer of mine to give to him. KNUX!
O.K. I've been posting some pen and inks lately. Here is a color one that is still in progress a bit, but I think I'm going to call it quits on this one at the moment. .......................................... BR
Here's a couple of pics of my nearly finished,"new"paintbox and a couple of (non-billet)aluminum quaffing devices.
Here is my 4th attempt at pinstriping. I have been working on this the last 2 Hrs. All you pinheads out there don't thrash me on how badly balanced some of the parts are. I wound up putting so many layers on this thing I thought I better stop. I was running out of room anyway. This was done using acrylics. I think it's time to get out and get some one shot and a better brush. This was with a Grumbacher 00 on paper. Boy can I write choppy sentences or what? BR
Great show again... loads of variety, and top-notch stuff! LOCAB, as always, your stuff is pure inspiration! kristoph, mr. wolf, and Empire32, amazing... I've been slammed lately, but wanted to throw something up here this week after being absent the past few weeks. Been doing a lot of later-model stuff and didn't want to post Camaros and whatnot, so..... ...you may recognize it from a now-deceased mag... I had the pleasure of drawing a '56 Ford, sectioned, no chop, some radical sculpting, and a Winfield-inspired paint job (he was kind enough to sign the issue at SEMA for me) Been doing a lot of later-model stuff... didn't want to post Camaros and whatnot..
O'k "Art *****" Put me on "John Art" poster list, Need one er two of these. How much and when will they be ready? xtra
JohnyAngel, is that the drive-in that is right before you enter into Chanute, Kansas? I am not sure but it was on 54 wasn't it? Tom
I really like this one,if your go to any more at all, then the right headlite of the smaller car and maybe a hint more of street lite-glair in upper right corner top. That's super , Enjoy all the posts but yours grabed me the most. What size did you do it .?
Ok going to try posting some Desk Top Art Work models again (I hate this old computer). Anyway, if it works #83 was a Christmas present so it was a painted non-HAMB car. #83 is a front engine dragster. It is heading for a show display on Jan 19-21 where it will be for sale. (I have to have 6 cars built for this display, can't sell anything until after the 21st) #84 was an ordered car for a Christmas present. its a duece hi-boy. I have 3 more that I have yet to take pictures of. Gene

Doc.

I'm the very happy recipient of the Deuce highboy. I was both surprised and thrilled to receive one of your outstanding pieces, Gene. It will occupy a place of honor in my budding auto art collection. You are a talented guy!
GREAT show everyone.Always a pleasure to look at this tread, very inspiring. Thanks to all. This is my contribution for this week. The first one is airbrushed on canvas. The second one is airbrushed on cardboard.
50dodge4X4...your "weldings" are excellent, I want to know if you are planning anything "special" for # 100 ???
Well, gee guys your making my head big again, but THANKS. Doc, I can build you a front engine dragster if you would like, all you have to do is send me some pictures. I have 2 more to build for the show then can start on another one for you. I sort of used a lot of "artist inturpitation" on this one. (The body lifts off!) The problem with selling anyone #83 before the show is the show price will be full price and these people would insist on taking it home with them. There are going to be other people in the booth so I can not guarentee a safe return. Last year there were people handeling the 4 Art Work models I took to this show quite a bit and well, I could get ****ered by green cash at the show. But if no one wants it at the show, its going to be in the cl***ifieds. You guys will love #85 and #87. (#86 is a little off topic) Maybe I can post pictures of them tomorrow. I have already recieved a request for #100, she was thinking forward. Don't know what its going to be, I'm not sure she knows yet. Maybe I should build 5 or 6 desk Top Art Work #100, wouldn't that be special? Second thought....probably not. Gene
Here are a couple Tikis. These are fibergl*** relief / dimensional pieces hand painted w/ acrylic & trapped resins.
Here is a 57 I did for a customer. It's all 3d so I have some more shots I will post later but wanted to get in on this weeks stuff. You guys are awesome! flyingpolock - I have seen your stuff over on some other boards and voted for you in the S-Curve rendering. I really dig on you style. Toad
