There are a few posts that I show some stuff from my buddies place and his "inharitance" from his dad.

Here are some cool old photos from his dads past that are hung all over the shop.

I believe these are people he knew or raced with. Not sure on the full details.

As for the Midget w/ the tag, I believe he owns that same one or something similar and my buddy is restoring it w/ the V8-60.

The picture of the (2) roadsters is (one of them) the same as the guy in the 34 3-window picture w/ his wife. He p***ed last year unfortunately. I knew of him, but sorry I didnt get to know him more. He was always at the local car show during the summer. That 34 had a blower on it, w/ a wood spacer between the intake and blower. CRazy...but it worked.

    Enjoy.

Great pics, my uncle Charlie use to race midgets. He dressed and looked like Evil Knievel. He aslo made the fiber gl*** bodies after he stopped racing. His name was Charlie Hayes and live in Northern California area.

The 48 pic with the roadster p/u that has the cut out doors, Squeaks (Kiwi Konnection) doors on the roadster he bought had those same cut outs. He said the older gentleman he bought the car from said it was kinda a European thing, but he cut his doors in 56, from how the story goes. Just wondering where the idea came from???

That's Troy Ruttman siting in the #98 J.C.Agajanian Offy powered Kuzma ch***ised car he won the 1952 INDY 500 in. The Unsers later won the Pikes Peak Hill Climb with the car. Today it's fully restored and in the Bruce Meyer collection. :)

    COOL

First time I saw a midget racer was in a Donald Duck cartoon mag when I was a SMAL kid. Donald raced a oval dirttrack. I remember thinkin' it looked cool.

Here's a site from down under, with lots of pics of early midgets. There's quite a few pics of U.S. cars alsohttp://www.justmidgets.homestead.com/.
