  10. My club plaque ZOMBIES we have 2 styles, one sand cast for the customs and hot rods and one water cut for the lowriders. Gonners is a cool plaque, as well as the historic AutoButchers E.LA plaque.

I've always liked the 1930's Ford "V8" logo......

I scrounged some of the "shiny-er " scrap metal from the trash bin at work and built this during my 7:00 o'clock coffee break (or about in a 1/2 hour)

The thing turned out to be about 22 inches tall ! and is made entirely of scrap metal...

....Several Cat/Waukesau V12 Engine Valves make up the "V" and some pulleys from industrial blowers make the "8". The brass base is made from 3 different size bearings from various blowers (screw compressors actually). The brass rings are ball bearing retainers...

I plan on building several more as suitable scrap hits the bin....

I'm thinking of tigging 3 valve stems end to end to come up with a taller "V".
...say something in the order of 28 inch tall "V" with an approprietly sized "8" and of course a larger base for the logo....

  24. It takes a certain kinda person to display one of these. I haven't got a photo of an actual plaque on a car yet, but I can assure you they are well hung.
