'29 RPU Build

  1. Got the steering column/box ***embly out tonight, got the rear suspension loose from the frame and started disconnecting the trans from the torque tube to get the motor out. Body should be welded up a few days after Christmas! Pics and more comin!

    I had a box for my rpu come from them, was very nice in my opinion, but they are slower than hell freezing over.

  8. Do a search under "members" for "Dodgerodder". That was a Model A four-door cut down to a roadster pickup. He does great work.
     
  9. Got my motor out tonight!!!!!!!!!!!! All my suspension is coming out tomorrow. Im makin pretty good headway for workin alone hahaha.
    Ill keep yall posted.

    that thing is so cool. I love pickups I have a 32 ford pickup that I want to build. you did a great job on that truck. yellow is one of my fav color. it looks sweet. dose it run as good as it looks?

  17. Its been a LONG time since an update but here it is. Im picking up my new motor tomorrow, a '56 272 Y-Block with a 4 speed behind it.

  20. Redid my frame kickup, it was too knarly haha. Took it back down to about 4" of a kickup in the front, stance is gonna look way better, and doesnt look quite so "broken."

    Also got some bearings together and got my front into roller status. Im calling around tomorrow to locate a rear end. Need somethin with 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern..

    good updates! roadster pickups is what lured me into like hotrods in the beginning, and i still have a p***ion for them :D

  25. Its for sale, 100 bucks to get it outta my garage. I decided to go in a different route.
