We've all seen the concept cars that GM had over the years. At least most of us have. They've been widely publicized. The Pontiac Banshee for example. And most know of the Chrysler-Ghia Falcon. But what about the 1956 Chrysler Norseman? Or the 1953 Dodge FireArrow? Or the hideous 1960 Plymouth Asimmetrica? Did you know the Dart could have been released in 1956 as a Chrysler? Well, here you go. I like the FireArrow convertible and the Norseman the best. Too bad Chrysler didn't vote to produce these great looking cars. The TurboFlite has to be one of the more radical departures from the norm, and I think is clearly a show car only. Cars in order of apperance below: 1953 Dodge FireArrow 1956 Chrysler Norseman 1956 Chrysler Dart 1953 Chrysler Special Fastback Coupe 1961 Chrysler TurboFlite 1961 Dodge FliteWing
1960 Plymouth Asimmetrica 1656 Chrysler GT Coupe 1952 Plymouth Explorer 1953 Plymouth Belmont 1941 Chrysler Thunderbolt 1956 Chrysler Norsemand (rear view)
Holy shit. I think I need to be alone for minute. Got any pics of some of the BIG luxury caoch built chyslers?
Hey the Norseman is still around....ya just gotta go get it....its in the Andrea Doria's auto hold.......glub,glub.... grab it and have 'em push it across the block at Barrett- Jackson.....
The Thunderbolt is on the rotating pole inside the Walter P. Chrysler Museum......along with a lot of other really cool old mopars.
Hey, Does anyone have pictures of the '62 Plymouth Super Sport? This is the one that looks like the Chrysler Ghia, but precedes it by two years. If only Chrysler Corp. had had the money to throw around on styling that Harley Earl pissed away......... Swankey Devils C.C.
