I was wondering if anyone had a good resource for coil springs. I'm looking for a manufacturer that makes front coil springs for a '51 Buick 2 door post preferably with a few inches of drop (2-4 inches). I know Kanter has springs, but they only make stock height ones. I've heard there were a few companies that'll custom make coils with a few inches of drop. Any suggestions? Thanks! -Julian
Look in the Phone book for spring shops around your neck of the woods...any spring shop should be able to make them for you... I have a '56 Buick, and had some done that were 3 inches lower, and it rides smoother than the stock height ones... A buddy of mine is having a set for a '52 Buick done at the same place, it is like $320 for all four and they are 3 1/2 inches shorter than stock... If you have no luck, hit me up and I can get you the guys contact and stuff once I find it... hope that helped a little!
Thanks for the resources everyone...everyone except Dave that is (j/k). I called Jamco, and for a 3" dropped custom made spring with shipping it was $275...I'll give Eaton a ring tomorrow when they're open. Any other suggestions?
I'm in the market for springs for my hudson. If you could kindly PM me the place you got your springs at, I would appreciate it.
