When we bought my son's 30, we picked up the fenders just in case. Anyone have pics of nice traditionally styled coupes running fenders? I have searched the archives...I read the mega long model A pic post but most were sans fenders.
I thought I had saved a pic of a killer coupe. It was brown with gold fenders. American five spokes with monster rubber on the back. Maybe someone else can find it. Here's a couple others I stole off the HAMB..
Fastest car in high school - Cl*** of 1940, Central California. Kicked *** on all the V8 runners. My pal waited about 50 years to get his hands on it. It's in good hands, the engine is getting a bit of freshening up etc., but the car will remain pretty much as is. Note the chopped top, a real rarity for street runners in the 40's.
Root...that was the one I was telling you about a while back..... saw it in Columbus..all kinds of body mods A very nice ride.....one of my favorites. If ya call me, I can tell ya all about it But I am leaving here for the morning ...late afternoonis best gotta run.....
A lot of full fendered model A's in this posting: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52680 Mine is in there also
My dad's car. He's had it since '63. All steel, full race flathead, nothing newer than '56 on it. It will be ***an red someday...
This's my uncle's '31. He's done a lot of work to his chop, so it really looks more like a deuce than a '31... But, it's got it's fenders (which also have a lot of work done to them!) Damn nice stance, though! -Gregory-
This is an oldy, but theres some REALLY good stuff here. It deserves to be brought back from the dead. I always thought the bobbed fenders on Grouchos car were perfect. The blue pontiac powered coupe is solidly in my HAMB all-time top ten.
