Not an old photo but the building is as it was. I took this on my honeymoon in 2000. Blairs Speed Shop.
Damn... I lost my digital camera.. There should be some pics of shops in the 'meet the advertiser' section old magazines.
Beautiful pics, Mopar. I especially like the one w/ the chopped A in front of Hop Up Speed Shop. Keep 'em coming all, this is a great thread. -scott noteboom
Somebody needs to put up a B&W of Clarks place. With all the stuff he has you would never know the difference.
I was hoping someone would post some pics of Rocco and Cheaters.. that place is like walking into a time warp. Everyone needs to visit at least once.. Brian
Here's a picture of some Hurst products. I don't think this is a parts store, but a display at the factory. It was all the display boards and items that could be ordered by parts stores, to show off their Hurst items for sale. Anybody got one of those Linda Vaughn cardboard cutouts for sale?? PM if you do I've been looking for one for a long time.
These ain't old,.... but I thought you all would get a kick out of them, This is a private little museum (that is supposto look like a old speed shop) owned by a great guy that is a friend to a lot of good people. The guy's name is Dave Crain, he worked at a lot of Drag strips back in the day, His love for "all things fast" was the corner stone for this little trip back in time. Dave hasen't been to healthy for some years now, as you enjoy this pictures please be sure to add Dave to your prayer list,....... he needs them.
Man That's beautiful!! I love the idea of a garage set up like an old speed shop. Here's the back of my garage....

Harms Way.......Alot in common? I wish, Looks like he has alot ! I have mostly mocked up and broken stuff. Makes for a fun work environment and a good picture. 53 Burb....nice to meet you briefly at the Mooneyes show. Sorry I mistook you for someone else at first.
Check out this link for shots of Don Garlit's Speed Shop in Tampa, Fla circa early 70's.... http://www.theaccelerationarchive.co.uk/roger/phillips_01.html Killer photos!
there is a guy who has a shop in Neshanic Station, NJ that reminds me of the above picture.....still has a similiar sign and a bunch of period cars inside. brick building.... not sure if its the guys personal shop or what...if it is its about the ultimate garage....ESPECIALLY since there is a KICKASS bar/grill that has some good burgers a few hundred feet away.
