I was at the store and saw this for 5 bucks. I think it was from 1977. Movie about moonshiners and the mob or something. Main car appears to be a black '57 Chevy. Anyone seen it? Is it worth the five bucks with either a REALLY good plot (hahaha) or decent cars? Seeing what year it was made is it just alot of Smokey and the Bandit meets Dukes of Hazzard...

  3. Where did you get the movie at for $5? :)
Speaking of moonshiner movies, have you seen Moonshine Highway? :) The guy drives a hotrod '54 Lincoln from the cops that drive in '57 Chevy more doors. It came out in the mid 90's, but currently is out of print.:(

I bought my copy of Moonshine Highway off of Ebay a year or two back. Can't explain it,but I really like that movie. I guess because all the cars weren't showroom new like most movie cars are. Gave the film some character.

  5. That movie is responsible for my lust for '54 Lincolns (sure Mike, blame the movie & not your defective car genes ).

It's always been a sore spot with me that all the old cars in a lot of movies are pristine stockers and spotless even if it's snowing in the scene. Having the cars with some "life experiences" on them did alot to help the realism of "Moonshine Highway".

It was at Shopko in the movies at the checkout. I didn't buy it - didn't know if it was worth it. Anybody know anything about it other than what it says online?
