What do you think? Located in SW Ohio.I have known about it for about 11 years. The guy that told me about said he was interested then. Still nothing is done. I might have to get on it myself. If the photos don't come out I will try again. Dennis

The body was a '33 Chev Eagle - can't see the grille well enough to be sure what it was. What's the chassis details ?

I really cannot remember the chassis details. I plan on going back sometime early this spring. This land will soon be developed and I will have to act quick. I have not seen my friend who told me about all this stuff back here in a while. He was actually more interested in the Mustang next to this.

First off is just get it out of there. I have no plans other then that. The land around it is being swallowed up for subdivisions. It will be very tough to get out, but no impossible.

  13. wish i could help....looks like a fun start, any motor?

got the pics of the vette? love to see chopped up vettes

  14. Man, that is the most beautiful yard art! My neighbors would be in for a surprise if I found that. Very cool.

Dude, if your buddy told you about it 11 years ago and said he was interested, the statute of limitations has long since expired. When you drag BOTH of those cars home and he bitches, just ask if you should have waited an even dozen years for him to be cool with it.

33 or 34 Standard Chevy. I would be able to tell if I could make out the hood shelf area. It does not have a Chevy grill on it. It looks to be either a dented in Deuce or a 33, 34 Ford commercial grill. One of the things about these models is the amount of wood supporting the cab. Something in this kind of shape will most likely need a total replacement with either new wood or steel.

    BR

edit: looking now at the door handles its a 33

  19. I'd be all over that!

  20. I own a 1933 chevy 5 window Eagle.
    That is one.
That grille is not a 33 chevy grille, but no big deal.
you will have a mess to work with, but get that thing and bring it back!! what a great traditional rod it will be!!
Wood is probably long gone, right?

  21. You need to get on that. Having a little expierience with construction, I'll tell you this.... if things get slow for a company slated to do work there, your '33 is history. The company will send people in to keep them busy, even if its just surveying. Point is, more and more people will know aout that car. Good luck with it. If I wasnt so far away. I'd help drag that thing out of there!

Yeah, the wood on this thing is long gone. And as far as the grill goes ,from the pictures it does look like a 35/36 Ford Truck grill but, I believe that is from the dent in the grill. So the picture seems to highlight on that dent making it look that way. But the grill has no taper to it. I will be going out to get more pictures on the car in the next few weeks. I believe I still have a few more photos to post on the car. They are not great shots of it but still may be worth posting.

Who owns the cars? Who owns the land? You can't just go out there and take those cars, you need to find out who they belong to and get permission first.

I'd get the Mustang too. The roof off of that is worth some good cash to a guy who'll want to convert a coupe into a fastback.

That I know. I would not just go and take this stuff. Besides it is way back off the road, alot of cutting and a few other obstacles to get it out.

It's a 1933 Chevrolet, I can tell by the dashboard having the instruments in the center....34 had them behind the steering wheel.

This car NEEDS to be salvaged!

Here's the one I'm working on, same year but 3 window:

im comparing this to a guy who gets a supermodel waved in front of his face, and is offered free sex for life. "na, shes to good looking for me, i think ill pass"

LOL "alot of cutting and a few obstacles" seriously man.... unless yer 85 years old or have prostetic legs you need to man up and get it before some scrap guys come bubbling along that thing and go "OH MAN CLITUS! WE GOT US SOME DRINKIN MONEY TONIGHT!" and then cut it up into nice cubes for the steel company to melt down into a billit to be made into yer toyota compact......
