Hey just thought I would say Hello to all you folks back home. My ship pulled into Shalalah, Oman last night. Bad thing is there are only a couple of places you can buy beer and they cost between 4 and 5 dollars US for a pint. I don't think I am getting drunk tonight. Right now this board is all thats keeping me sane. Thank god for underway internet. Eric
With the billions Bush has given Halliburton, I would think THEY could hook you up? Man, watch your *** every minute over there. NEVER let your guard down and hurry home.
Eric - When you get stateside, drop by again... all the free beer you want, and the only camels are for smoking! Best from all the Zenors, and get back soon
Hey old beet looking forward to getting back so we can punch some louvers in my hood. Mike hopefully I will make it back over there again one of these days. Until then take it easy. Went out last night and man is it amazing what happens when you do not drink for almost a month. a couple of beers and I was feeling good. Thanks to being U/W I didn't that much beer at 1.500 Rial for a beer at the cheap place. One dollar is .386 Rial. Eric
Yeah alcohol prices **** over there in Iraq we used to have to pay Jordanian truck drivers $80(american) a fifth for some cheap *** nasty whiskey or just give them a five spot we found out they couldn't read english after the we bought the first bottle. Good luck stay safe.Yeah after not drinking for 6 mos you get tanked quickly. But Semper Fi P.S I may be joining you for round two over there in a few months from now.

Eric, you were one of the first guys to say "welcome" to me here on the HAMB. I posted my car was stolen, and you said you would "keep an eye out in Covington". Short story long,I got my car back and I hope we get you back too! Maybe see you at hotrodarama when you get back! DAVE
I was in Seeb Oman when the war started. I'm now out of the Air Force but when we were there we could have like 3 beers every other day. Guess they changed the policy. That was when the clothing policy was wear whatever you wanted to when you werent in uniform. But since good ol Mr Donald Rumsfelf went over there and saw everyone in "normal" clothes he thought that was a bad idea and didnt look "profesional" and now everyone has to wear a uniform even after you get off of work!!!! Whew...sorry kinda went off on a tangent there! Ha ha. Anyways thanks for what you're doing man. Stay safe and come home soon!!
You and all the other military personel have 100% support from me and my family. Do your tour, kick some terrorists *** and come home safe, there is Hot Rods to build.
Thanks for your service, and as mentioned, NEVER let your guard down! Maybe when you get back our paths will cross, and I'd be proud to buy you a brew or two! BTW my son starts Army basic on Jan 12th ( 19D, Cavalry Scout ). God Bless!!! Marko.
You and your buds keep it safe over there! If your ever in Tucson, I'm buying! Thank you all and God bless!
Say hey to the guys on the 50 cals watching zodiacs. One of them might be my brother Rick. He's a BMC from Atlanta.
Thank you for doing what you do and defending our country! Hope you have a safe journey home and plenty of free liquor when you get back!
