Ok here are a couple pics of a car my buddy just told me about. The guy is saying he will take 5k for it. He says it has a california ***le. It has a Mazda 4 banger in it, converted to juice brakes with power steering.. It needs the interior done. Has all frames and floor..NO fabric...I plan on lowering and cruising it for a while then redoing the drive train with a flathead.. What do you think.. I don't know much about sedans and generally don't buy anything in this clean of shape so I don't know if the price is right or not...Well I am picking it up on Thurs. Anyone have pics of four doors hotrodded? Fenders on or Off... Thanks.. EVILT

Looks like a great great deal. You see rusty project bodies for 1000ish-2000 give or take, this looks extremly solid, i imagine its mostly restored right? id do it, nothing beter than starting a hotrod out of great metal.

I just didn't know about the $$.. I just bought my wife a 66 T-bird with rebuilt engine and trans, new brakes and tires and new rear end for 6k with great baby blue paint and good white interior. I guess comparing them is apples to oranges... EVILT

At our swap meet last Sunday, I saw the CHEAPEST Model A 2 door Sedan body in 5 years....$2,500.00
    AND, a '31 A 4-door for $6,000.00 ......which was a basket case.

$5K for what he has is a killer deal today.

Look at the wishbone inthe front. It should not be pointing down. This means the whole axle is rotated wrong. 5K is still a good deal, but you might want to address this and the driveability.

    Just my 2cents ;)

  11. Looks like it is rotated the right way to caster, maybe even too much.

  12. Maybe he'll sell it w/o the engine, save you fifty cents.:D

I'll say. Looks like 10 degrees or more in there. No wonder it has power steering. Also it looks like it might be riding somewhat higher than stock.

why does it sit so high. you better plan on redoing the entire frame/suspension as lowering it is going to take some work... it needs to be lowered . still right for $5k if you want a 4 door.

I am going to split the bones and drop the axle 3" and put back together with a reverse eye spring. The rear is out of the same donor mazda. I am going to swap it to coil overs in the rear. It wont be tough to lower it..I have a shop and build frames and suspensions. I plan to run it full fendered as a family hauler. I will post better pics when I get home with it. EVILT

It's soitenly isn't stock and it's a mixture of old Ford parts. The body is '31 Slant Window Fordor. If it has a clear ***le you've got a good start for creating something. I'd give the ch***is a good going over when you get it back to the 'shop' as the underneath bits hanging down done look right.
    Good luck!

I don't know, there's something wrong here. Other than the Nip 4 Banger, what is hanging down under the frame behind the front wheels? Is the wishbone intact and hanging down or is it some kinda an aborted split wishbone setup. I would look it over real good and I wouldn't let the Nip engine set in it more than a day or two before I yanked it out. What type of ****** does it have? Anyway, I'd gut the drivetrain, if the body is what it appears, then it's worth 5Gs. You need to know that an A is no 66 T bird so the comparison is a fairy tale. Take some pics under the car and of the interior before you buy and post em.;)

They lowered the wishbone mount for some reason.. I plan on changing all the suspension out. It has a 5 speed trans in it. The interior needs to be done..(has none) Has all garnish moldings and window regulators and seat frames, And someone put some ugly *** column and wheel in it. I have enough parts around to fix all the suspension as long as the frame looks ok.. Gonna go over it real good on Thursday..Anybody else say it is a 31? The guy doesn't know much about A's but said it was a 29... EVILT..
