A few weeks ago I dropped off my car at Crushproof to get some body work and primer done and here's what it looks like now. They had a lot of metal work to do, just about replaced the whole quarter panel on both sides. Fix several dings and dents and come up with a cool color of primer. Im happy. The funny thing is for the past year Ive been pretty busy with stuff, getting married and all the wedding stuff that goes along with that, then moving to Texas and buying our first house. Its been a really busy year and this car has been on the back burner. Ive had trouble with overheating issues and oil leaks and I just kinda forgot about my car for a while. The week before I took it in to get the body work done I replaced a slightly bent timing chain cover (not the oil pan gasket Ive changed twice!) and changed the waterpump. So today I felt like I had a brand new car, no oil leaks, no over heating, no horrible rust holes in the wheel wells. So today I installed some seat belt brackets and started on some interior work. Renewed my intrest in this car. Sorry for the long winded story but Im happy to be working on my car again. PS I have no Idea how to flip that picture around, its was correct when I down loaded it off the camera, sorry.
Remember how bad it looked when I first got it, Its changed a lot! You guys should come down and check it out, Texas is fun.
Looks good, glad to finally see it. Your house looks like mine, except mine isn't yellow....and I dont have a wood fence.....anyways Crushproof = happiness

http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145980&highlight=GOLD+INTERIOR I posted a pic of it on this thread. I took the top metal trim ring off and removed the plastic lens, then the wide ribbed ring thats under the numbers comes out, cleaned and painted it, GENTLY unscrewed the needle and painted it. then cleaned it polised the plastic lens and put it all back together, took about an hour. I had bought another speedo at a swap meet and I was going to do a tech post on it but a previous owner had glued some of the pieces together so I couldnt take it apart.
