And how does he know it had a rumble seat? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42606&item=2465274502
Keep weldimg in patch panels and get all the pieces for the subframe. Rumble has a catch under the back window
I was going to bid on that if no one did just to get a couple small parts. He says "just out of a ditch" and if you look close at the pic you can see the mud line .
couple patch panels on the cowl and she's good as new. The guy even threw a little PB Blaster on the hinges.
All you have to do is find another coupe that was resting on it's top, and find another pair of doors, no problem.
That's funny, only someone from the rust belt would ask that about a body it that condition... I remember growing up in Ohio, you got so used to seeing cars rotted out that you thought that's the way they were supposed to be. There's been quite a few model A's here on the HAMB that are in a lot better shape and reasonably priced. I guess I have my own hang-ups about buying car parts from Louisiana as well...
Well in Wisc they darn near use salt on the roads in the summer, and that car is to rusted even for me. I thought you would like to see something rustier than anything I've seen around here in a long time. somebody should find something useful on it.
Put it in the flower bed in front of your house with a plant growing out of the roof. The homeowner's ***ociations really love that kind of stuff!
it's funny what we thought was unfixable 20-25 years ago is now prime stuff...so by that logic this will be good stuff in the year 2024
[ QUOTE ] That ditch body looks pretty rough... any guesses on how high this '32 will go? ebay 32 coupe Brian [/ QUOTE ] Jeez...don't reproduction bodies "only" cost like $15k?
The guy selling that douche ought to be shot in the *** and dipped in salt. $11,000 doesn't meet reserve. Doesn't even have a ***le! Hope he has a heart attack on the way to the bank.
That poor little coupe should have been left alone. At least it was cool to look at in the river bed or where ever it was. I don't see it ever being made into a hotrod.
it would be fun, for "gold chainer shock value" to mock up that body onto an otherwise complete rod, where its supposed to be, with the entire bottom two feet missing, for cruising a rod run, aaah, feel the breeze!
at $75.00 it's a good deal. I'm sure there are a lot of butchered chop jobs or coupes made into half ***ed roadsters that could be saved with that top. Paul
