universal backup light switch

put a floor shift in an old chevy truck and need to rig up some type of backup switch on the linkage. Does anyone know of a switch that is available from NAPA or autozone etc that is a push -on or lever type universal switch? At first I was going to use a 60's chevy brake light switch, but they are push off (opposite of what I need) any ideas ?? thanks

 

How about something like this?

Just fab up a little bracket outta some s**** steel and you can stick it where ever you need. These are what I've always used for limit switches, which is essentially what you'd use it for.

Ya can get those 60 GM style switches in n/o and n/c.
