This one is not quite finished yet, but its close enough. Desk Top Art Work #88 is a rendition of a 41 Willis Gasser. It is a big one at 10" long, 4 1/2" wide and 4" high. I has a tilt front end.

This is the 5th one of six I need for the display at the car show in Rock Island IL next weekend. If it doesn't sell there, look for it to show up in the classifieds.

Gene, having done some metal art I can tell everyone that it is harder than they think, You just keep getting better, the detail and proportions are amazing.

Thank You for that. I can tell you they look a lot better in person then they do in the pictures. I have a photo album with pictures of all my Desk Top Art Work models (except for 2 of them) and its easy to see the progression. This is one of those examples where practice really makes a difference.

I sat down and tried pinstriping one time, lets just say I'll stick to my metal cars. I discovered a long time ago that everything is easy until you try it a couple times. Its the personal failures that make a person appreciate other peoples abilities. I am amazed at the quality and diversity of the art work displayed here every week. Great job everybody.

Better late than never, I'm a virgin at posting art so go easy on me.
Here's some of my stuff, Marilyns airbrushed 24" x 24" on board for my girlfriend, pinstriping's on my 64 falcon ute and the digital one is prob not really welcome here but i drew it up for a mate as an idea for a build he's doin. i'll keep the digital stuff more hamb friendly next time! hope you like, i love this place.:D

Danimal, Thanks for the compliments, and I say go for it! Love to see either one or better both get built.

Jigger, Thanks as well. Got a little obsessive with this one.

Flying P... I'm not as prolific as you so I have to dig in the archives sometimes, haha and DAMN I love that Lincoln! The car AND the graphic layout rule!

AWESOME show again fellas!.. I've been doing so many 'top secret' project that my clients won't let me share I haven't been able to be involved with the show of late and I get jazzed every Thurs and Friday to see what everyone's been placing in the show!

Now I can see why they call you MISTER Wolf. That is some awesome stuff. I love the way those flames lick each other on the break. The lettering and striping is awesome.

Blackie: You have created my backdrop on my computer so I can think of these every time I get over here! Chad and I talked about that kind of color for the Crestline to start with, most likely a Carson style top since the sedan roof is gone. 55 Olds tail lights I believe are in order and I want some different motivation. Olds/Caddy/Nailhead...

Awesome stuff all. Marilyn is HOT and KustmAce's truck is gonna make my 13 year old flip. His 54 Chevy truck is multicolored as well!

I wsh I would have paid more attention in art class!

hey everyone. I have watched the friday art threads for quite a while but have never posted. figured that I should post a couple of pics and mabey get a little feed back. I'm a custom painter that is a hot rod artist at heart. my wife put a website together for me today at www.pinstripingbrushes.com , nothing fancy, just a sampling of my work. Let me know what you all think.

Typikal - I'm with Clark on this one. Your stuff is great. I really like the funky, surreal quality you give your cars and trucks ... they don't take themselves too seriously, but are able to look fun and mean at the same time. Thanks for posting. I dig your style!
