Dang! Scoob's made some progress on his garage since I was there last! I shoulda drove down there...had nothin' else to do today! Maybe next time! Cool pics...looks like y'all had fun!
Great to meet and put some faces with the names. Wish I could have talked to more, but hope to at some of the events this coming summer. Thanks UncleScooby Ol Blue
WOW, what a day. 29 sedanman shamed me into driving my A in the rain. I figured if he was driving his i would have to or never hear the end of it!! rbg :>) Grumpy ( Walt) and really actually enjoyed the ride across Indy on 70 down to scoobys. Sure glad we put that heater in before last years pile up! Great time some really good food (pear salsa, frog stew.bubba beans, hamburgers, hotdogs, bubbas hot sauce and lizard eyes for a eye opener before lunch )and just hanging out with a bunch of car dudes in the rain is pretty cool as well. Met some new friends and seen a couple old ones ( The Dickster was 29 today and looked every day of it) even though i met him 36-37 years ago. Paul and the group from Terre Haute are always a great group, and Jeff and his friend from Dayton Ohio. Both came from a long ways to get here ( The Dayton group would get the long distance trophy -a extra moonpie for the ride home). Me, Lindross, Suave and Grumpy just got home from the Girls Roller Derby , pretty cool. The Indy Girls beat the Nashville girls. pretty cool and i am sure we will attend the next event. Racer five had some HAMB seats reserved for us even though there was standing room only at the fairgrounds. Thanks Roy !!! If ya didnt make this one mark it down and look for next years event. Good time for all on a very wet saturday !!! I too have a few pics will upload later.
sounds like everyone had a great time....i wish i could have made it, i spent a good part of the day ,cutting, grinding, and welding, moving the seat back in the ol ride, worked great, lots more leg room...
Thanks Uncle Scooby, I had a great time sorry we had to leave so soon. Louie son is still in the hospital as of tonight. The roller derby was great it was a nice cap to the day. Again Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome. Randy
Yeah thanks for hosting this. Some great stories wafting around that garage, too! I'm going to have to come by and get some more of those Lizard Eyes olives. Damn things are addictive!
Yup, great time! Thanks scooby for hosting it and thanks to Roy for savin us a spot at the Roller Derby!
I have to agree with everyone else the cook out was great despite the weather. Thank you very much Ron..
I too had a great time. Thanks again to Scoob and all who pitched in. Scoob was a great host despite his geneetically mutated dog every one was leary about.
Thanks to everyone for pitching in to make this fun without busting the bank. The food and company were great. Looks like January 19th next year with the car corral and swap meet. Larry will work security again. I just have to pay him two pieces of cheese and he'll keep everyone in line.
I just wanted to thank Uncle Scooby and all that were involved with the garage party. It was a chilly and damp ride from Dayton and back home in an old Ford that had a heater that made noise and that's about all, but was well worth it to meet a nice bunch of fellows that reside here on the HAMB. I passed on the Lizzard Eyes but the Pear Salsa and Moonpies were great! I hopefullly will run into some of these kats at a few of the events around the area this coming summer and plan to attend the party next year. It was a nice time on a dreary Saturday. Thanks again Uncle Scooby! Doug from Dayton
Yeah everything was great! who was the "Dick" at the roller derby complaining about mot having a seat? If you show up an hour late to a function you should be S.O.L., and not crying for security "they don't work here, i want there seat!" And "kudos" to the blonde in the jean skirt... "nice legs!" And "Busty Sanchez"! we could not get into the after party for the roller girls. the venue was too small, was kind looking forward to that.
The Dick was Dave, one of our mechanics. He complains everywhere he goes. The hottie was Melanie, our receptionist (as were the other two with her). They have the common courtesy to be hot pretty much all the time. It's pretty much the only thing Dave doesn't complain about.
So sorry that Cliff and I couldn't make it. I was not feeling well and it got worse as the day went. Today is the first day I am back to normal. Hope to come next time or we will see you all around. I heard it was a blast! Sounds like unclescooby is a great host!!!!
