I figure that's only about $25/word in the description!

And did you notice he won't answer any e-mails about the car? ;)

I wouldn't answer emails about it, either. With the possibility of having some history, he'd have all sorts of random custom fans emailing him just to find out more, even though he says everything he knows is in the description already.

If someone wanted it, seriously, they'd call him like he requested. His not answering emails isn't a problem, in my opinion. Just a personal way of doing things to make life easier for him!

Yeah, very neat car, and is probably worth good money, but this guy is sucking his own dick in the description, talking about how this is the greatest car ever built and how all of hot rodding is based off of it. Which is odd for a car with no documented history.

He claims it's the only chopped & channeled "real" '40 convert. Guess he never heard of the Valley Custom/Ralph Jilek or John Geraghty cars.

I notice the bidders so far aren't real interested in his buy-it-now price, either.

I hope he gets the $50K, and then some.... makes my 39 conv't more valuable. I didn't see many pictures of the channeling work. I wonder whats up with that. What is the deal with the dual coils on the top/front of the motor?

The guy is testing the market on price, I don't expect that it will come close to his asking price. As a guess, I think it is worth ~$25K depending on any extra pieces he has

The car has some pretty clean lines. I would try to figure out its history before I sold it if I were him. Chopped and channeled 1940 Fords are not good looking cars. I remember as a kid I would see them now and again on the streets and they really never looked like they flowed real well but that one looks pretty nice.

with no history though, its just a chopped Ford and those look way better stock.
