I got a '48 Dodge, with a '85 volare style , rear steer , front end under it. What choices do I have for steering gear ? There's not alot of room , due to the narrow frame. The original that came with the '85 is too big. Would a vega work and how do they mount ? Maybe a rack and pinion, but there is nothing to mount it on ????

Is the front of the orig. frame gone? I have a 48 Plym with a fatman fab kit for R&P.

I cut out the original frame stubs to create a notched frame for the volare ''k'' member upper A arms. I will have to make any mounts for whatever steering I use.
