spent the day with the kid again...ended up with a very dark blue,it started as a black basecoat with a ton of blue pearl dumped in!

I don't think so...I was planning on it but I need to get a 5 speed before I cruise it that far....and times runnin out. I'm kinda broke right now too, every time I turn around it seems like another wad of cash is jumpin out of my pocket! I think at 20 mpg the drive will cost me over $500...doesn't leave much cash for tequila and grub!

Yea I was running out of daylight and rushed to get a couple of pics. I think somebody forgot to pay California's heat bill...it's getting damn cold out there as soon as the sun starts to hide!
I will post pics of the frontend after I get the 57 buick grill installed and the headlight rings back on!

Very nice! It'd be great to see a "daylight" pic, I'd love to see how the pearl casts in natural light. Your midnight-blueish color is SOOOOO much cooler than your standard, run-of-the-mill (yet tried-and-true) black-suede... I think we ALL have seen that more than a few times!

ha ha funny guys. Sorry I should have been more clear. How did you do the paint job? I like the suede look but i`m still learning about how it`s made and it seems that everyone has different way.

Actually mine is just basecoat ...I reduced it with a cheap laquer thinner so it would go on pretty hot and flash pretty quickly. and added a little hardener so it would be durable, then sprayed it fairly dry...it still has some shine but should fade a little

I just shot the Ionia rod shop car with single stage valspar with about 50% flattener it still has a slight sheen to it I think it gives the color a richer look .

HA..Krylon...but I am really having problems with this set...I think I tried to get it on too fast and it was too cold out as the whitewalls are cracking all to hell!

here's a shot in the sun...guess it needs to be seen in person to get the full effect! Its a nice blue mettallic at day and turns black at nite!

Oh yea..the dent in the tailgate is gone now...kinda...the gate is wasted and rotted out pretty bad so I didn't spend too much time on it!
