Quad lights

I have seen only a few rods from the late 50s-early 60s with quad headlights. I got these on the cheap from ebay and plan to see how they will look.

 

Uh how they will look on what. I mean they'd look real dum on a 55 chebby.

Ok you didn't deserve that, my experience or personal taste is that they usually look best with the full custom grill shell.

Now really what are you trying them on? Those look like the real deal they cost you much?

 

Oh, yeah, they would go on this, maybe.

 

Well bolt 'em up and lets get a look see. They be just the ticket.
If not you probably won't have any trouble finding a new home for 'em that's for sure.

 

What did those come out of?

A lot of the first quad lights used on fenderless cars were truck lights.

But I'm just guessing on those.

 

They almost look like headlights from a checker cab...probably not..but they have that same look.

 

I can still get the aluminum stands from Offy for the Quad headlamps.

 

I think these are probably Freightliner. The Pete ones are smooth on back instead of the two bumps. Those start at $200 for rough ones and go up from there. I got these cheap enough that I can hang them on the wall if they are too ugly. I just won the auction so I don't have them in my hands yet.
