a buddy and me spent the weekend slammin out the rest of the chop, only a little touch up left. anyways thought id let you guys check her out. PRE- 4" CHOP and how GM should have made them!!
I like it. What's the door graphic? Did you consider dropping the back window a bit and keeping it a bit bigger? Pete
I dont think so? I think it is just the stock spring's and stock rear spring mounts flipped up on top of the frame. Then the leaf is located in the to the frame at its center to make a half elipticail set up with the stock axle. That is what it look's like to me, I could be wrong. Hey he is using the parts he had, thats good hotrod know how. CBB
Nice truck, and it sits right. It good to see some-one else using a 55-57 Stovebolt. I've got one in my Model A coupe and its got an original air cleaner on it at present. You keepin it a stock induction set-up?
DAMN that looks profile looks good. You take 4" from the back, and 5" from the front? What year cab? 37ish? I'm building a '40 that Choprods on here knocked 6"s out for me. Can't wait to get it to the point of showing people. The plan was for Roundup, but that got smoked!
Looks pretty good, I've had something similar in my mind, I already have even an inline-six awaiting. I prefer long beds, please keep us updated of yours one! Mika
I don't have any good shot of the rear, ill have to get some the next time i post. the 235 is getting a streetcharger and straight pipes out the side no split manifolds, just custom headers. i took 4" out of the top all the way around, just happened to give it that sweet rake. i think i got all your Qs, and don't worry if your around the north west, i garuntee you'll see it around this summer.
You got any more info or pics on this StreetCharger,? As I don't believe i've ever heard of it before?
It looks like the one formally made by Hunter Performance in Tx about 15 years ago. Who stocks/makes the drive for them?
Very cool! We just went and picked up 3 37-38 Chevy truck cabs, fenders and parts on Sunday. Later,Bill
cool..., was it very difficult to chop, do you have any pics of the chop in progress, ill be chopping my 36 soon. looks good!
