I would just leave it alone. Slam it with airbags and put in a mildly built powerplant and flake the shit out of it! Or, just leave it white! You have any pics of it? I just got outbid on a Mattel one that was all customized on.....need I say where? KNUX!
chop it! Chop it!! Chop It!!! Actually see if someone can PhotoChopIt for you to at least give you an idea of what you would end up with. FF
http://oldcarandtruckpictures.com/Divco/ pics. interesting Note, The first pic, that dairy is in my hometown, i never heard of it, but it might of been a truck my grandpa fixed. My father use to tell me he use to jump from divco roof, to divco roof behind his house, and would fall in the pricker bush's hehe, im way to young to have seen that dairy still in buisiness, damn i love local history..
here's some more pics of a 454 divco build, with 12" chopped out from right here in jersey.... click on cars.. then featured cars, then the '39 Divco http://www.joesulpys.com/index2.htm pretty sick little ride if you ask me
I wanna see some pics. How far are you from Alton IL? A friend of mine really digs Divcos. Im sure hed like to see it and hear what your doin.
its been awhile since i last worked on it but going to get back on the wagon the shop is in eureka next to six flags
You'll notice that not one of the those Divco trucks had the 18"s that that were run @ the lakes in the late 40's. I think that people get the Ford Milk Truck (which a 39 was shown on the Divco site) confused with the Divco brand and back in the day people just called em Milk truck wheels and somewhere along the line the Divco name just came into the mix. Sure did like those Helms truck though! They'd be a cool lil shop truck.
Looks like alot of work....but what isnt alot of work these days? I like those divcos. cant wait to see it cruising around town.
