So heres the deal. Im going to be cruising around for a while in my 54. I want to hear what there is to do around the continent between mid may and mid july. I'm talkin the really good hot rod shows. Not the "theres gonna be 20 cars and it'll really suck if you don't know anyone" kinda shows, but the big ones where you get lost and can't find your way back to your car. Also if you know of any good punk/psychobilly/metal shows, or anything else i should check out...throw 'em up here too. Paso is in late May (Memorial Day weekend) here in CA. If you're going to make one show during that time, i'd recommend this. In you're in the east, Ryan is putting on his Hot Rod Cinematic show in Ohio on Jun 30 i believe. If things go right, i'll make it to both of these. If your into Kustoms, you have to put Salina Kansas on your list. Last year the Spectacular had over 600 kustoms at the show. Anyone got a shower i can use?! hahaha! yeah that may be a weird thing to ask...but im serious. Im gonna effin stink. (im a broke ass so hotels are out of the question)

July 21st & 22nd Rock & Race Nostalgia Drags at Dragway 42 in West Salem Ohio. Drag race (everyone can race not just "race cars"), car show, swap & vendors, pin-up contest, burnout contest, free camping, pinstriping, lots of rockabilly, surf, garage bands (10 so far with more TBA). Last year it was a one day show. We had over 1200 people and over 250 cars and it rained most of the day. The show is open to any pre 1973 hot rod, race car, custom, stocker, bike, etc.. Talk to anyone who was at the show last year. This is a great show.
