Anybody know anything about the Jokers of Rome, GA? Years of existence? Are they still in existence? People involved with the club? Any info appreciated.

A book I have, called Hot Rod and Custom Car Clubs by Fred Thomas, lists known car clubs from the 30's thru the 60's and the Jokers from Rome, GA are listed along with about 20 other Jokers clubs.

Not much info but at least you know the club was in existance somewhere within that time frame.

That may indicate that this is a very early club, then. The book that Bullet Nose says that they are listed in goes all the way back to the Thirties. I wonder when these type club plaques started being made? Thanks for the input.

Dennis O'Brien has the original pattern for this plaque.

  11. Check with Vern Miller at Rockmart GA, he's a car guy from way back who lived in Rome many years, he would know if anybody does.

  12. I have the original patterns from Chicago Metal Craft, Port Chicago, Calif. for both of the plaques mentioned above. Need any repops?
