I dig them...it's just that it seems everyone is doing it. But are they?

The moment the standard grey 1 pc. Torque Thrust was released I had to have them on my '69 pu and then the '66 Malibu. Then they released the polished Torque Thrust, everyone with a muscle car just had to run, still do for that matter. They're *****in. But I couldn't do it for the previous reason. Stayed with the grey. Make sense?

Then along comes the Salt Flat. Hell yes I'm there and bolting them on this wagon. Thing is if I keep this and go the paint route it's gonna be copper/cream two tone, grey wheels won't get it. So now I have these polished slots from hell. A dirt cheap ebay moment I am over and they gotta go.

I'm getting there!!! it is about the combo you know...

I have been watching brewsir's '57 buildup and completely dig what's going on. Then the post with Jeem's sweet little pu and I get it. There have been plenty of others, mostly Kustoms, but Jeem's pushed me over.

With the whitewalls I have been thinking "everybody is doing it". But they're not. It's this board. I haven't the time to surf the net so this is it. Constantly seeing them here kind of did a back of the conscience thing I guess. But I can't think of a moment driving around that I have seen whitewalls on anything. We mostly don't do shows, we drag race, so I don't see them there either.

Yep, the wagon has to have cheater whites. The wheel thing is still confusing me though. I mean brewsir and Jeem already have the 5 spokers :)

I had the same thought the other day. I was brainstorming ideas and I kept thinking, "yeah that would be cool, but SO MANY people are already doing that". Then it hit me, I'm so immersed in the HAMB and magazines that I don't realize that no matter what I do, nobody around here has even close to the same thing. Even when I lived in San Diego and Seattle, I didn't see hot rods and customs everyday on the street. A little perspective makes things easier sometimes!
