I don't want to rip anybody else's post asking questions about dates, so here's a new thread. Maybe this could be a running list of 2004 show dates that we can all use. Please post dates of your favorite HAMB style shows for 2004. In particular, anyone got the dates for Billetproof CA? Paso? -thanks

I've been thinking about adding an actual calendar to the HAMB. If things go right and it doesn't add to much load to the server, I will do it...

That would be a great idea. It would be nice if it could be sorted by location or date. It is all too complex for me, keep up the great work Ryan. Thanks.

    from their "official e-letter":

Hunnert Car Pileup 2004 will be Saturday, October 9th at the historic Grundy County Speedway in Morris, IL (just a lil’ southwest of Chicago). We are still working on the details, but there will likely be bands in town the night before and following the Show, plus a mess of hot rod, rockabilly, surf, garage, etc bands at the show.

Unkl Ian, The Checkered Flag Jalopy Showdown May 22nd. I've been trying to lay off whoring the show until the posters, shirts and junk were here to do a couple of HAMB auctions. Then the whoring would REALLY start!!

Don't forget about the HAMB Drags! Saturday August 21 at MoKan Raceway located near Joplin, MO. Arrive early as a cruz thru the countryside is being planned for Friday the 20th by a couple of the local HAMB boys.

AND, although not 100% traditional in style, it is a tradition amoung my friends, my annual Hot Rods and Harleys Pig Roast will be Saturday June 5th, the day before BilletProof-Michigan. All are welcome. Roasting a pig with all the fixens, a few kegs of beer, and maybe Kritz's band if we're lucky. I've got parking for about 100 cars. It's always been free in the past and has cost me a small fortune. This year it will be a $10 donation, just to cover costs. It was either this way or not having it at all. Anyway, hope everyone can make it.

Ryan, I think a HAMB calendar of events is a GREAT idea. So are t-shirts (hint, hint) [IMG]

    This sorta fits:

    9/11/04 - 9/12/04

    Buzzard Run

Macon Missouri (at the fairgrounds on the south edge of town right on US 63)

Not a stictly hamb sort of gathering; everything from restored old stuff to mega buck pro-street (wth is pro-street anyway; ain't neither) muscle cars.

BUT, there are always several hambers there and folks with like interests. We sort of hang out together over at the side and have our own little party within a party.

If you're anywhere near Macon I recommend you attend.

Macon is at the interesection of US 36 (St. Joe, Chillicothe, Macon, Hannibal) and US 63 (Columbia, Macon, Kirksville).

Choprods & Scarliner do have or did have a hand in putting on this deal.

Like to bet on that??? [IMG] My street gets blocked off at both ends, we turn it into a one-way, enter from the west (Middlebelt), exit east (Garden). All the cars back into the curb. Early arrivals park on my front lawn, my neighbors lawns and the blvds. I have 17 neighbors, they are all cool and really look forward to the party each year. Most bring food and come over to join in the fun. I get a 20x60 foot tent for the backyard, with tables and chairs and a potajohn. Music has been just big speakers outside with CD's but I'm hoping Kritz's band might want to set up in the garage and play for donations and half of a 50/50 raffle or something.

Also been thinking of a live auction. Folks can bring car parts or car related artwork and we'll have an "auctioneer" and folks can bid on the parts and the parts go home with the highest bidders. I'm thinking all proceeds from this would be split between the HAMB and the RRT since there will be lots from each board in attendance.

My neighbors are going to LOVE you [IMG] [IMG]
