    Who is going?

We are taking 6 cars and a display. My '36, my Dad's 36, the rpu, Azreal, Back Seat Betty and a couple others. Should be a good time. I'll post some teaser pics next week after load in...

My buddies Greg and Joe are bringing up a copper Studebaker truck that they built for a guy.

It isn't HAMB material, but you oughtta peek into the bed anyways.

I havn't been there in like 12 years. The last time it seemed to be nothing but 69 Cameros and pastel street rods. Django, has it changed from that scene much? God I hope so. As a side note I did see a bad ass custom 57 Olds there at that show. I asked the owner if it had the J-2 option on the engine and his eyes lit up. I guess he didn't expect some young'n to know what that was. And sure enough, it did.

The last Chicago WOW I went to SUCKED, but apparently they're trying to turn that image around and this year's show promises to be better. I spent a lot of time helping Django with his display. Let's just say ...you will be pleased. :D

Yeah, Mr and Mrs Hellfish ( ;) ) have been a great help.

I vowed I would never go to another Chicago World of WHeels about 5 years ago. But they have changed my mind. And so we'll be there. I'm excited!!

Senor Zenor Junior and I will be there Friday nite, will drop by.

Last time Chet and I went to WoW the big attraction was Stone Cold Steve Austin. We walked past his autograph line, spotted Ed Roth sitting alone, plopped down and talked to him for 20 minutes uninterrupted. It was 4 weeks before Big Dad died.

Thats cool! I got an autograph from Big Daddy at the Chicago Hobby & Model show at Rosemont one year. I think he was promoting his Beatnik Bandit II at the time. All of these people are just walking right by, and I almost snap my neck with a "holy crap-thats Roth" reaction. Cool guy.

Man, I am beat. The display is mostly set up. Just a few minor details and 2 more cars to get in there, both Model A's. THanks so much to the guys who chipped in to help today. I couldn't have done it without you. Same for everyone who has helped me turn my crazy vision into reality. Ya'll rule.

  25. Django,

    You BIG tease...(no pics)

Looking forward to seeing the display...and the rest of the crew.

See ya when I get there...

We've talked about it. I don't know if it is too late to get that kind of space or not. And it would take a fleet of trucks/trailers.

  29. Denise,

    Are you going to Chicago?!?
If so will there be cookies...

Im kinda upset about the WOW......we had a group of 20 that registered and they only let 10 of us in , because they were way overbooked !!!!!!......There were alot of groups that got burned from this show...Chicago gearheads, Hummer group, Thunder Road, Chicago Corvair Enthuiast.....Laugh because maybe these groups arent your cup of tea in this forum, but it still isnt right !!!!This is the second time that this has happened in a show sponsored by these guys !!!!.......If there are that many people who want to be involved in the show, then why not accomidate them ????? ..........At there last show Chevy -Vette fest(NOV) it was a zoo trying to get inside, and no room at all !!!!!!!! If people are wanting to pay money to get in the show, and drop a crap load of money because they have to stay there for 3 days, then whats the deal !!!!!!!!
