Austin area junk yard run Saturday Jan 20th

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hell_fish_65, Jan 3, 2007.

  1. The Austin Mopar club decided on the annual junk yard run for Jan 20, HEB in Buda, leaving at 8:30.
John's Salvage in Seguin in the morning and Luca's(trying to get more info on this) and/or Dr. Mopars in Niederwald after lunch.

  2. johns is a cool place not much 30's or 40's cars but alot of 50's and 60's. the 46-48's that he does have are stacked on top of each other. and of course all the the good cars are in his collection inside the shop. if you go ask him to show them to you. he has a bunch of original 35-36 coupes when i was there last of course that was 4 years ago.

I SPY a '50s Imperial in that shot, does John have a lot of '50s Mopars there? Is this the same John that runs Spencers? I thought that yard was crushed. I could be mistaken and it could be an altogether different John.

Hey Firedome, I'm still looking for a '57-58 Firedome/Fireflite 2dr HT.. if you know of any.

I saw in a HRM article of all places, that Spencers sold a kid a '58 Belvedere 2dr HT for cheeeeap before they closed. Wish I'd have known it was there! Wonder what else is sitting in a barn over there...

I do know that there were no 57/58 DeSoto/Chrysler 2dr Hardtops at Spencers...only 4 dr Firesweeps rusty and picked fairly clean(by myself and a couple of others)....and one rusty firedome 4dr in the weeds.

I have not been to Johns yard yet but I will take some picks when I do and PM to you.

  12. Where is Spencers?

As far as I know, this is still a go. I will not be going because of other things that have popped up. Weather doesn't look great, but it could still be fun.
