  1. A quick pic of the shelf of my computer desk. Tons more in a box in the bedroom. Nicest car is the yellow Danbury Mint 57 Prostreet. Same color as my ride![IMG]

  7. The first one is some of my collection. The next one is my favorite(thats supposed to be me next to it). Then another Merc. The last one is the Merc with Bevis and Butthead. If you look close, you can see my MINT Beatnik Bandit,in the little case. The row under the Mercs,I call"cruise night".

Thanks. That would be the coolest. To have a diecast of your car done. I am just finishing the small details, then will try to whore it out as much as I can.

Custom hot wheels are where its at! One of a kind just like the big scale. Search Ebay for custom hotwheels to see whats out there. I have seen single cars go for well over $500. Its amazing what the talented people can do. Scratch built frames... suicide doors... wired engines... I swear some of the builders are 3" tall...

I did some kustom stuff... but not to the level they do.

there are a bunch of photos of more here...

How funny my girlfriend just gave a cool one today. Its called wreckz to rodz. Dawn gave me a 50 Ford Shoebox. It's rusty, dented, and broke winshield on one side. Then blacked out and flamed on the other side. Too cool for a Ford lol. I had to give her shit for buying a Chevy guy a Ford. But old and cool it dont matter what it is, they are all great.

I have tons of those on the second shelf. I miss going to M.E.Moses (a 5 & 10 chain) and going down the toy aisle and picking through a bin of those. I'd sure like to see an entire gallery of what all was offered. I think my favorite appears to be a 39 Ford coupe I have. I think its pretty rare. I've never seen another like it.

I've seen a lot of customized HWs with elaborate airbrush work etc. but this one has that look. NICE Deora-ish model, good job Homie!!

I've eased way up on my HW collecting ever since Mattel eased up on their "adult (yeah, right!) collectable" cars. I've got most every one that is 64th scale and of actual cars, indy, drag, bonneville and my favorite, the old show cars from Jeffries, Roth and Barris. Thanks Mattel, I'm saving lots of money!!

Maybe some of you can answer this one for me...

I have the Design Studio Hirohata Merc (smaller scale than the DB Mint one) and it never really pops up on EBAY very often.

I have seen tons of 50's cars by Brooklyn and Design Studio but few hot rods when I look for them on ebay.

I really like it and was told that the So Cal tank was done by Design Studio along with several famous 32 roadsters and the California Kid.

I have never had much luck getting anything by Design Studio to come up on the web via a search.

Anybody know what they did and did not make and have pics?

Means alot coming from you. Thanks! :)

I've given up as well. Occasionally I buy some loose cars on Ebay and do some customizing. Like I said, I'm not really good compared to some... but it takes my mind off of life for a little while.

  21. Yea. I've got the Hirohata and the one they painted purple. I've got every Merc available, plus some custom painted ones.

  22. I've gotten on the diecast websites, and those guys are pretty anal. Now I just look for the custom painted ones that a guy I know does. When i'm bored,I cut one up and make something different out of it.

  25. I thought I was bad. I only have one case, cause my wife won't let me display all my cars. That's why I narrowed it to Mercs.
