  2. I would suggest to anyone considering this to be on set the entire time, and never leave your car un-attended with a production crew, ESPECIALLY for MTV! I have heard horror stories about what has happend to cars used in music videos and movies.

  3. It used to be really bad, 10 years ago.
MTV is cheap and non union, so their insurance sucks, on "big" productions you have nothing to worry about.

Alex pm Jimmy White on here. His car would look good with the HEMI tearing it up down the strip. I believe "hemi coupe". Lee

I would be interested- possibly with my RPU. Also, no way my dad would let anyone drive it, but he does have a '42 Ford Convertible like white the one driven in the movies- pretty rare car.

When you hear MTV and Hotrod in the same sentance it kind of makes you swallow hard and think "...Uhh, this can't be good."
Whats the deal? Show, music video? Seeing our stuff on TV is kinda cool, even if its MTV.

I doubt Alex would be involved with it if it was going to suck.

  10. I just talked to my buddy, Motormouth, and he's down with this if all the planets line up.

My thoughts exactly. Why would a HAMBer post something about "Pimp my RatRod." Hopefully its something cool.

  13. That holds true for most in that industry. Disrespectful jackasses for the most part. You can see the stupidity in the eyes of some of those stunt guys as they fight for who's going to thrash your car. INSIST you do your own driving, period, or walk. A bonus to that is they're forced to pay YOU as well as the car. Plus, most of you guys will look better/more comfortable in your own car than some of those hired hands

first off i wouldnt let a set of 20's roll in my shop!
let alone be involved with something like that
and NO its not a music vidio.
its just like i said a recreation of the drag race scene from the movie grease with real hot rods and a 50's feel in modern time

I had the same thought. Does the comedy Fast Inc. that MTV did ring a bell? Oh, that wasn't a comedy series? Could have fooled me because I laughed my ass off every time I watched it. It was like a train wreck, I couldn't stop watching it because I wanted to see how they made themselves look bad each episode.

You'll have to keep us updated on when it'll be aired.

  20. ehh,,, MTV was way cooler in the Eighties, when hair bands ruled the wastland and all the chicks would get naked for blow..... not to mention there seemed to be way less comercials..... Now the hairband guys are on VH1, living in a house with mini me and ron jeremy.... But at least the chicks still like blow....

  21. I'm glad they found you for this Alex...I don't know if they could've done better, but they definitely could've done worse!

    Now...where's my sawzall?? :D
