After looking for a while I finally found something and close to home. Most everything I looked at in Jersey was trash but this is a great start for me. 1953 chevy 210 2 door. My first old car and I'm pretty stoked. There she is in her new home. Kicked my folks cars out of the garage for the time being.
cool, where in Jersey are you from? where'd the car come from? my cousin just picked up a 53 chevy project in July...do you mind if i asked you how much you paid for it? well cool car good luck
Good choice, lots of possibilities...hit me up if you got questions. I;m building my 53 210 right now.
Yea she runs alright but doesn't stop as well. I got her off here in the cl***ifieds. Thanks 40LUV. It cost a little more than some other cars I went and looked at but for Jersey it was really solid. It's been in a dry garage for the past 30 some years. Plans are to get her running good and stopping. Clean the tank, rebuild the carb, etc. Basic stuff at first. New wheels and tires, lower her a bit and then put her on the road. Being 23 I'm not really in the financial position to have multiple cars so once she's good and ready, this will be my daily.
Damn, that is a nice start. Plan sounds good, take care of the stop and go, drive it, then make a plan.-MIKE
Awesome man. Good solid cars arent too easy to find, but it looks like you did it. Great starter car you can do loads with it.
Hey Ryan, Glad you got the car to your place in one piece. The tires on the trailer looked older than the ones on the '53! Great that it found a good home. I've been able to hold on to the same '40 Ford since I was 16, so look forward to a long relationship with your Chevy. Funny thing is I was probably about 23 the first time I saw that car, it was just in a different storage building at the time. It looked like you have some good "advisors" to help you get it back on the street. Hope to see you on the road. Best of luck with it. This is living proof that the HAMB cl***ifieds work.
