Why the hell would anyone part out a car in such good shape, especially a RUNNING one? Sheesh. Does it even need anything other than bodywork and paint?

Cool! I like it! That's not rusty though.. at least not in Michigan it isn't! HAHA

Marcus I think the Buick God's are trying to tell you something.

  9. I don't think you guys noticed... the car is a FOUR DOOR!!!

On top of that, it's a RUSTED OUT four door.

It's worth more for its parts.

This is the problem with Ebay and such. Most of the cars are already screwed up. I'd much rather buy a stocker and do it my way rather than having to undo someone else's "creative efforts" first.

  11. It will be at Pleasanton for sure.... It will just be in black primer and lowered nothing more..

  12. It would be worth more parting it out,but why?? The car runs and drives perfect..It would make a great car for a kid..

You Cali boys need to get out more. That car is not rusted out. Damn that's just a little patina. Hell that's an easy fix. And there is nothing wrong with a more door. Spoiled bunch of sun worshippers....

Hey man I didn't see any light through it. Hell it looks like it even has floorboards. Though I probably do need gl***es cause I can't seem to the leaves for the trees, or so I've been told. Though if it was here and you were parting it I'd take the engine...

I guess it's good that I did not post many pics of that 60 Olds I parted out. You all would have **** for me taking that car apart. It had NO RUST and original ****ing paint! Ask some of the people I helped with parts about the condition of the car and the parts they got for their 2 door cars. They got nice parts cheap and are not complaining. I got a nice 394 and hydramatic for my new project. You need to listen to what Sam said, it's a four door and rusted out, it IS worth more in parts.

If I were to have fixed up that 60 Olds, I would have spent more than I could ever get out of it. By parting it out, several 2 doors are now better off. And a new hot rod has a cool nostalgic engine. I also made a few bucks to help with the new hot rod project.

  18. WOW!!! This must be some kind of record that no one has yet pissed off Marcus and threw him into and full rage tailspin! I'm shocked at it being a more-door with buckets! Feel free to part that thing Parts Pimp, it would be a great parts donor for that bench seat 2-door you got last week.

You should have seen the 60 Buick Plowboy sacrificed for the Spacetruck. It was NICE. Had it been a 2 door, it never would have met it's destiny. [IMG]

Go ahead Terry... show them what "Californians" do to Cherry low mileage, rust free, original paint and interior four doors... I double dog dare you. [IMG]

Maybe a before and after sequence so they get the full impact...

Anyway, I see it more as putting that car out of its misery than anything... if you hide the rust with bondo and flat black paint, you're just screwing with some poor kid who thinks he's getting a rust free car... that ain't good for what people on here call karma...

We're just trying to help you out Marcus... you'll get MORE MONEY for it if you part it out... at least that' smy opinion.

Besides, the only people good enough to make a four door cool are Sean from the Strangers and =Mike=... oh and there is a dude that races the West coast Goodguys events with a four door Chevelle that runs 11's... so my disclaimer is that if it's a FAST four door... it's cool too.

A wonderful parts car for your real car....your 2 door hardtop 63. The 122,000 mile drivetrain would be great for somebody's shoebox or model A project...
The front seats are prolly a bolt-in for your hardtop. The hubcaps will work on the 2 door and prolly many other little parts......**** that rusty 4 door...

  24. Yeah your all right..My only problem with that is my landlord!! They would freak if i was parting out a Buick on the property!!

I dont get it, whats the hang up with 4 doors??

The cars that never could be cool if it had 4 doors, no matter what you do to it, is like a 55-57 chevy. But a 63 buick? what does it matter?

the longer it looks the lower it looks. I think most early 60's cars look cool 2 or 4 door, i dont think it makes much difference with those years.

Parting out 4 doors that are cherry or at least a solid rebuildable project just to make a cool 2 door doesnt make much sense to me.

But then I dont follow the crowd either. I could care less what everyone accepts as "cool" and only 2 doors are allowed. ****, theres plenty of 4 doors that are, in some respects, way cooler than the 4 doors of the same year.

Of course, thats just my own opinion.. [IMG]

  27. Totally Monster...I think it really boils down to value in most cases. No matter what 4 doors will always be valued less than a two door hardtop, thats just a fact.Growing up we'd buy 4 door mopars from the 60's dirst *** cheap with big blocks in them run them at the street races in San Jose and clean house!! It was funny as ****.$300 ****boxes blowing away " Muscle Cars" you had to be there..I had a 66 Plymouth furyIII with a 383 2bbl that hole shotted and damn near beat my buddies show and go 69 Camaro with a stroker 383 and a 4 speed he told me he was sweating it out until about half track,on the street that would have been cconsidered a win!! 4 doors are cheap bottom line and they make great experimental cars..But its funny now those same cheap four doors we bought in the 80's are getting pricey!
