Well done! You could have got one of the best deals ever with one of the most desirable superchargers ever produced. Now you have just advertised it to 20,000 ++ people.
Italmeccanica was bought by S.C.O.T They are basicall the same blower. the guy that owns it has already turned down several high offers
the rodder's journal (don't remember which number...painted version of royce glader's rpu and feature on doyle gammel coupe)has what seems to be a pretty definitive article on these. i think the S.Co.T.'s had fins on the snout and are supposedly more desirable than the older italmeccanica's.
My S.C.o.T. doesn't have any fins on the snout. Mine came with a manifold for a Ford flathead. Last time a S.C.o.T. showed up on ebay; the bidding got to $13,000,00 US. (don't know if it sold though)
next time drag the pics off of ebay to you desk top and post em here... You'll be bidding against a lot of hamb members now!
No wonder Stellan said he was afraid of getting his *** kicked by hot rodders for converting his blower into an oiltank.... www.seservice.se
Cream on the pike? Is that like "icing on the cake"? Was the Magnuson Magnacharger based on this supercharger? It sure resembles it to me. See here: http://www.streetrodderweb.com/even...dguys_nationals_colombus_sunday/photo_25.html
There...now I'm the high bidder We'll see how long that last! HAHAHA Hey, at least I can say I "owned" one for a while!
These guys are reproducing them: http://www.flatheads-forever.com/home/component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,58/
This is so kewwlll... 1. I'm an idiot for doing the people here a favor 2. shuuuure you were goin to find it 3. I'm too stupid to buy it and re-sell it 4. Yup, he knew exactly what it is, which is why it was not listed as SCOT, and going for a few hundred with no reserve 5. I would have been the high bidder otherwise Get back on your turnip truck. That pretty much ends the "nice guy" phase. Next thing I see - you can buy it from me.
Winning bidder:emiliedk( 9 ) might we see this on an cadillac flathead v8 now or is it going on an flathead maybe?
Daemon..could you imagine that!!?? i am sure it will fit just perfect on a cadillac. this was my dream, but those insane prices kept me away from it. i would say this price is fair! Palle might we see this on an cadillac flathead v8 now or is it going on an flathead maybe?[/QUOTE]
hell yeah quite fair price for and supercharger like that , really cool! will look awesome on your caddy! dreaming on putting an 4:71 or 671 blower on one of my rocket engines one day, atleast i got an mcculloch supercharger bracket for a 303 + hilborn injection on my 394 so i do not complain really but much want more!!
Hell, I think he built a neat tank! If it was one that had the insides "chewed up" - or was missing the rotors - then it was a good use of the case. BTW - when I bought my S.C.o.T; it was on a full blown flathead, and I got the WHOLE package for less than $4,000.00!! (course that was 15 years ago! ) Back then guys would ask, "S.C.o.T WHO?? - what's that??" Never did let on.
