I like these guys. yes, I've used them and can recommend them. Stubblefield's Polishing Inc. 562-634-7045 7332 ****by Ave Paramount CA 90723-2014
I've known Al for 20 years, and Mag masters does my magnesium Halibrands. If you're not in a hurry and they're really just a cleanup polish, go to Al. For heavy oxidation go to Mag Masters
Go to a truck stop Anywhere USA look on the ad boards great start. I use a local cut me a deal $75 a set(of 5)
Here's an update to the above recommendations. I was looking for someone to polish the rims (only) and powder coat the centers of OEM alloy wheels, and got these quotes: Wheels America: Flat rate of $150/wheel for any combination of polishing and powder coating. Includes clear. Al Reed: $65/wheel. Mag Masters: only $35/wheel for polishing, but $85 EACH for powder coat and clear. Joe Stubblefield: he's moved, and is now in Santa Fe Springs (same phone). He has sold his wheel polishing machine but is still willing to do them by hand. I'm gonna try Al Reed on a test wheel, because of the obvious price advantage. Will report back.
i would love to polish the lips on mine.. the fronts were polished before so it may be easy, but the rears look to never have been polished.. anyone got a how to on this? i ***ume i cant afford to have em done by a pro
Guess I have to say, don't choose Al Reed if you're in a hurry. I'm still waiting for the ONE wheel that I took him in August.
Try Valco's "Lazy man's polish". They also have a pre cleaner. You can find them at any truck stop. Use the pre cleaner first then follow up with the polish, using a Mothers powerball. Works great and is a whole lot cheaper! Trucker's swear by this stuff.
