I am in no way trying to promote this ebay item.....just saw the question about a model A grill shell and had a good laugh. Naturally Hot rod and Rat rod are in the ***le for the grill....

Q:You keep mentioning "hot rod, rat rod" and I am wondering if this is an origional Model A radiator shell? The rod terms make me shutter.

The only times the seller mentions hot rod and rat rod are in the ***le...I don't see how you can fault him everyone does this to get more people to see their auctions. I'm sure it's pretty common for people to simply search the term "ratrod" so I think it's smart to throw that in the ***le, even if it's not all that accurate. JMO.

ok I see it now duh:eek: I saw him shuttering at the terms like a Hamber would, not like a restorer would. Yeah he probably would not type in rat rod while searching....

I am left to wonder...was the "tree huger model A purist guy" planning to use the grill for his windows ("shutter" as opposed to a piss-shiver type shake spelled with d's; shudder.)

Further, Chopped26 must know something of his physical attributes as he referred to the questioner as "huger" (larger?) instead of a hugger (the act of embracing).

Everyone sleeping during spelling exercises in grade school?

No harm intended folks, just a friendly jab.

I can just see an old guy walking around a swap meet looking for parts to restore his car to perfect originality. Shaking his head and thinking....these damn young kids cuttin' up all these good parts for their street RODS, hot RODS, rat RODS ???? Makes me shutter :D

    BriggsBodied28....spell check please. :D

I don't think you could come up with a better explanation for "shudder".

If you don't know what a piss shiver is....well...there's no hope for ya!:D

I question the hyphenation <grin>, remember some people see others as only one visit away from the proctologist from being a perfect ***hole! One of the best body guys I ever knew could not read or write but would even close his eyes to feel out a repair he made for perfection. So never judge a book by it's cover. Enjoy!

They haven't taught spelling in schools since I was in 3rd grade, 22 years ago. They've also quit teaching cursive handwriting. So our country's future leaders can't spell or write legibly.

All because we might hurt their widdle feewings by actually teaching them.

Good one! In my dad's version, he refers to that as "intercoursing the canine."
