    FUNNY Mexican is his brother.

Not to be confused with his other brother Slightly Depressed Mexican or his sister Prozac is for Winners Mexican.

  6. Thanks Lakota! As for San Antonio, I'm sure they have some clubs for women. If not, YES your wife should create one! That's the best way IMO.
I'll pray for your son and your wife sounds like one tough little mama!

Thanks for your support man and I'll see ya on the road!

I stated congratulations and i mean congratulations to everyone mentioned and involved.

YES I read the WHole fucking article!!!.

None of this is directed towards anyone on this thread just an observation.

why not try and see the postive aspect of everything.

unless you dont want more women around???? WTF?

ok some cars were not built by there owners. maybe that wasnt mentioned but the point was maybe to bring more women into the "scene".

brings more exposure to the car scene, may even attract and/or inspire more women to build cars.

While reading the article I was happy for my friends that are mentioned.

I thought "the scene" was all about building the cars and driving them. Not some social show.

Why should you or I care though???, if your truly about building and driving cars than dont even feed into that bullshit.

I know it can be frustrating when people dont give credit to the true builders of the cars. But cmon take into account who wrote the article and the purpose behind it.

Cant we all get along :)

new rule. if you chop topdidid your own car you should wear a blue gasoline jacket. if you own a cool car but didnt chop topdidid your self you should wear a black gasoline jacket. if you have more than 2 patches on your gasoline jacket it means you earned your "red wings" a "ford" patch on your arm should mean "i like cool cars, but i dont have one yet". a crunchy cow boy hat means " i dont have a hot rod but i have cool patches that im going to put on my gasoline jacket.

Love the fact that you didn't post an intro before shooting your mouth off. This is why new guys get reamed on the HAMB. Jumping on here with strong opinions with no posts gets you no respect. Read the rules like I did, jackass.

  10. Great article. Not every article can be about a guy who builds everything from scratch. Some of us love old cars, but don't have the talent to build EVERYTHING. I've got plenty of talent, and do as much as I can on my cars. My sister didn't build her car,but she can fix anything that goes wrong. She wouldn't let me work on her cars. She wanted to learn for herself. There's lots of girls out there that do their own thing. Don't be such a DICK!

  11. Here here 50Chevy! I totally agree. The purpose of the article was to shed some light on an otherwise overlooked culture. Not everybody knows what it is like to build or work on a custom, not everyone knows that women get involved in this pastime either! So take it for what it was- some exposure to the mainstream that could possibly get some kid, boy or girl, interested and involved in doing what we all here enjoy, building cars!

And I know I don't have the skills to do alot of the amazing work most car builders do, I'm always more than happy to tell people I didn't build my car, but I bought it as it looks. But just because I didn't chop it myself doesn't mean I can't be as proud to own it as someone who has the know how to do it themselves. Besides, the longer I own it, the more I'll add to it or learn to do the things i want to it, customizing it in my own way.

i wounder who mean mexican realy is?

so the girls got alil press they deserve it they stand by us dont they.i bust my ass on my wifes and daughters car for THEM to shine and enjoy the attension the cars bring ,thats why i built them for them also to get them involved instead of taken the back seat.best thing i could ever have done now the wife wants a hot rod and she'll get one.so who cares if the girls got some press and only the girls they bring this thing of ours full circle, the best reconition i could ever get is rollin into a show with my girls in there own cars right be hind me, mission acomplished.imean thats what this is all about driving the shit out of our cars right?rest asure the skirt skrapers will be doing that!

    congrats to ALL the girls

i personaly thought the article was pretty kool cuz it mentioned the "skirt skrapers"which was founded by my wife suzie, christine "skotty chops "girl friend ,and susan olsan "chopper demans" other half, about a month ago and who are more into driving the cars and showing them which they made a kick ass 1st showing as SKIRT SKRAPERS suzie, corina, susan, and christine,at the frisco show.

on the othere hand ill end with my 2 cents saying im happy for the girls but i dont think this was a post for the hamb because the hamb is not about style its about traiditonal hot rods and kustom cars period!

    ya gota love the girls

    I Agree With Alex.

The Skirt Skrapers Are Not About The Style, There About Driving There Cars. They Had A Great 1st Show At The Cow Palace. Great Job Girls!

This is the same reason my dad built my car. I'm his pride and joy and he loves the fact that I share this car obssesion with him.

Nice read..:) Girls working on cars is right. I've done it since I was 9 or 10. I never needed a guy to "help" me either other than my dad and cousin to help teach me. But I dislike this "Betty", RockabillyKulture shit. Johnny, Jerry Lee, Waylon ,"The Possum", and Willie are cool as is Jefferson Airplane, the Eagles and the 'Stones. I wouldn't wear a poodle skirt on a bet, hate '50s hair and makeup styles, etc. None of that stuff is me. I'm shorts and a tank or t-shirt. If I lean on a guy,it's because he's a buddy, not somebody I'd necessarily sleep with. I'm not submissive in the least and hate to see women portayed as such. My only concession to the "movement" is a few tattoos I've had for years. I ran with 3 patchers in the '70s- '80s, had a boyfriend (no comittments) and was showed respect by the club even after we broke up. If I needed help badly, I could call on some of the scooter nasty friends I still have that are breathing..:)

  28. No problem girl! You going to VLV this year? Josh and I are staying in this one. We need to save up some money and get the 50 rolling. We are shooting for Billetproof. Hope all is well with the club and to see you girls at our party in April w/ Kim Lenz. If you have any events coming up drop me a line!

Congratulations on a great article. I think that the reporter did a really good job of portraying your feelings in regards to its ok to be a girlie girl and work on a car, which society really hasn't come to terms with yet. You are lucky to have such great girls around to have a club with. It would be nice to have something like that here in Ohio. Best of luck with your show, I would love to come but it's a bit far.....
