I have bought many items from Roddoors over the years and had quality product and had no problems. I ran into their booth at NSRA show in Milwaukee and talked to their sales guy about their new headliners etc.this summer.

I ordered $600 worth of items in Oct and on Nov 1 received the wrong headliner. I called and was ***ured that the headliner would be shipped in the next few days. One month later, no headliner. I called and found their CA phone numbers are no longer in use. I finally located a Roddoors guy in NC and he said they had closed their CA plant and let everyone go. They were going to relocate someplace in NC. He ***ured me that the headliner would ship in the next few days.

Well, two months later and $600 later, the only thing I got is more pissed.

Has anyone else had problems lately? Theintent of this post is to prevent fellow HAMBers from being scammed.

Never used them. If you paid by credit card call them and they can have the charges reversed for the headliner.

I just tried their 800 number and it is working. That number is 800-428-7114. Try that one.:)

RODDOORS Headliner Update: Well there is good news and bad news. The good news is after 3 1/2 months they sent me a new headliner. The bad news it was the wrong one again and to make matters worse it was split in two. I guess it froze in the UPS truck and a slight bump broke it. No carton damage evident.

    So here we go again.

  6. In case you didn't know, they moved within the last year. There have been some other people with problems but the phone seemed to be the best way of communication.

Send it back, ask for a refund. You're never going to be happy with them.

Email is mostly spam these days, and small shops don't want to bother. Big shops with a sales staff can be enticed to wade through all the **** mail.

Sorry to see you moved from Chico Ca. I remember driving up to my old College Town to purchase the panels for both of my Chevrolet trucks and my brother in law purchased panels for his 55 Nomad. Glad to see your still up and running!

I thought intros were mandatory. Guess things change or people don't read to well.

As to Roddoors, I hope they can rectify the situation and honor their commitments to their customers. I purchased a few of their products and the workers at the shows were always very always helpful. Hope they get back on track.

As to traveling 3900 miles from CA to NC, they must have taken the long way to get there. Last time I did it, it was more like 3,000 miles. Of course if you take a few side trips like maybe to Florida or the Black Hills that would account for the difference.:D

Finally, before making its 2004 SEMA Show debut (a year later than the original anticipated debut), Emmons swapped out an already fresh interior for the aforementioned Camaro R/S-influenced threads. With the help of RodDoors, Todd installed new door panels and bench seat (which is now available in kit form from RodDoors),I have purchased items from Roddoors before with good results. In fact I talked to their show guy at NSRA show in Milwaukee this summer specifically about Model A headliners etc that they had on display.

covered in a combo of black UltraLeather and OE orange/black houndstooth. The factory dash was re-equipped with Stewart Warner gauges (wired by Emmons with a Painless kit--his first attempt at wiring) with a Custom AutoSound stereo replacing the factory AM/FM unit. Rounding out the new interior are a B&M Mega truck shifter, Boyds steering wheel, Hot Rod Air A/C, and Electric Life power windows.

Good way to **** up a company, move it. The people who made it work won't move. Now they are out of work and the company is dumber then ****.
Corporations forget that it is the people who make a company what it is.

Or, the company was grasping at straws due to the bad economy and perhaps other issues, and the move was a last ditch effort to try to keep the doors open that just didn't work out.

Sometime businesses go broke and the owners walk away with their pockets full of other peoples money. More often when companies go down, the owners are left with nothing but a bunch of debt that they are left to pay for years to come.

As for being "dumber than ****", there is more than enough of that going around these days.

I don't know enough about the situation at Roddoors to either condone or condemn their motives or practices, so I am going to avoid looking "dumber than ****" by not posting my suppositions about either.

A bit of a Google search brings up this http://www.roddoors.com/index.html

I still think all threads should automatically lock after X months of inactivity and after that can only be reopened by the originator of the thread.
