To use a brake boost, or not to brake boost in the T coupe??

    ...this is the question.

    Going to be running an Olds 303 mill, in a '27 T coupe....total weight of the car, probably about 2000 lbs max I'd say.

    What are you guys running in your T's??? I'm going to run drums all around, no discs.

    27 coupe, 2300 lbs 1100 on front 2005 Yamaha 1600 fronts, 91 Caddy rears. 91 Caddy master, no booster. 57 Chev fruitjar on firewall runs master in trunk. no proportioning or residuals. Best brakes I've ever done. Locks all four at same time. 60-0 in about 100 ft:)

    should have said,....I'm looking to run drumms all around!! Early 50s styled trad. hot rod. no discs,....sounds like a great setup though!

    You asked what I was running. Drums is fine and probably won't need a booster if properly set up.:)

    I would agree that you do not need a booster as long as you use the correct 6or7 to 1 brake lever ratio. You do need a booster if you are in the 3 or 4 to 1 ratio range.
