Here's some pictures of the the truck we have been working on. This is at the San Francisco show. We are trying to get the fabracation bone by Sacramento. Then blow it a part for paint right after Sacramento. Scott

There just the stock wheel openings. I can see what your saying though. I like the look with the wheels tucked up in the openings. Plus it has room to turn with the car almost all the way down. Thanks Scott

That truck is awesome! I think you guys did a great job with the Ranchero fins, I wasn't so sure about them when you showed the first mock up.

Since opinions are like a**holes, everyone has em and they all stink, here's mine - it would have more of a '60s show vibe if it wasn't an extended cab. Don't get me wrong, I still dig the hell out of it!

dude, this truck really strokes my goat!!!
not crazy on the grille, and I'd move front axle and wheel openings forward, but the rest of the package... I'm stoked. and yeah, it's a ton more work, but operable rear doors would be killer.

Yeah I think the bed turned out cool - I know it was kind of an touchy subject when this thing was first posted. I like the "pods" lower and the finish of the top rails. Wasn't this already a extended cab when you guys got it? And just my opinion - eliminate the seam on the front of the bed...

The truck was all ready an extra cab when we got it. So we were stuck there. But the only cool thing about that is my customer has kids and he intends to use the truck as his daily driver. Yeah we havent got to to the seam at the front of the bed but hopefuly by Autoramma we will have that handled.
As for the color we are looking at going a dark flat purple and maybe some pannels or simple scallops with black and siver. The interior is going pearl white. Thanks for the feed back. Scott

It's called pushing the enelope and coming up with something different. How boring would it be if everything looked the same, or followed the same basic principles. That's what the HAMB is all about. Creating something outside the "NORM". Just my .02.

No. It's not. Streetrodding would involve shaving everything off, putting Mercedes headlights in it, filling it with storebought billet parts, shoving a modern Shivvy motor and trans combo in it, and setting it on stupid oversized wheels and tires.

What the man has done is pure customizing.

Kool truck with lots of good ideas. Except one. This is just my opinion, so you can take it or leave it. The Ranchero fins look out of place. From the rear they look good because they give you an integrated tail light the stock shield-types don't have. From the side the fins and extended tail light housing looks stuck on. It also seems too low on the fender. If it was raised up so the top of the fin was even with the top of the fender it might look better to me. That's just my opinion and I'm no expert on '60's custom trucks. Take it as constructive criticism. Others will like them.

I like the way the tail gate is integrated into the bed and slopes down and away from the top. Smooth and kool.

I can tell lots of thought, ideas and hard work went into this truck. Keep going guys, you've got a good one going here. Keep us posted on the progress and especially the finished truck.

I agree with moving the front axle and wheel openings forward. The sheet metal in front of the wheel opening should be narrower than the rear of the opening. Look at Chip Foose's Overhauled pickup. His Dad did that and it looks sharp!.

The flat purple paint with silver scallops would be sharp. PM Jeem, he'll do a good design for you.

I was a little offended with the streetrodding thing. I didn't call any body names. Thanks for all the feed back. Scott

I'm sorta with AZAV8 - I like the lights and fins but I would like them better about 3 inches higher on the fender. Grill and headlights are right on, I really like that look on those trucks.

We tryed the fins higher up on the fender but it just didn't look right. The problem was there would be no place to start the fin and keep it level with the bed rail. As it sits now the fin runs parallel with the bed rail looking down from the top and from the side. we had it clocked a little higher here but it didn't look as good to me. but Thanks for the feed back. 28. I didn't think the tail lights would work when I saw the mock up pics, but when I saw 'em in person, I changed my tune...IMO, they look like they belong there. There's so much to the front of those trucks that the bed would get lost without 'em.

I understand your reasoning and thoughts. You did it right keeping the bed rail and the fin parallel. Good styling.

Myself I wouldn't have put that big a tail light on my truck. But I'm of the old school that less is more and I'm not building a Kustom. The total package of changes you put together is great. I'd have kept the Ranchero tail lights on a Ranchero and did mild changes to the Ranchero; but that's me and not you. I DO like your total truck.
