Never been to this event and am wondering if this gig is worth the $ 75 ticket ? Can one see the car show etc. without buying the entry ? Let me know your thoughts and experiences . Thanks, L B
go to vivalasvegas.net Im pretty sure they might have changed the rules this year so you have to go to the event in order to park at the carshow. Ive been every year except the first one and its definitely worth it if you like the music. You can hang out at the casino the whole time like a lot of people do, but i think you can only go to the carshow parking lot on saturday between 9-4pm or something if you dont have a wristband. I hung out there most of the time and met a lot of cool car people.
It's a great show me and the crew have been going the past 5 yrs. The first year we bought the bracelet and it was cool but there were plenty of bands playing elsewhere like in the lounge and upstairs in the parking lot. Just ask around and you'll find out about various things going on.
We are trying to go, just have a hard time justifying paying $125.00 a night for a hotel I will only be in for 5/6 hours for the 4 nights we are there!!! Would sleep in the car but the wife has back prob. so can't , we'll "finger" something out...Ken
So Jerryjagger, You don't purchase the ticket anymore and just show up at the event ? You gonna pay up this year for a ticket ? Just need advise fro my pocketbook....... Thanks, L B
ChopperImpala try the Imperial Palace the wife and I are staying there. It is on the strip so not real close only about a mile from the Gold Coast. It was like 225.00 for Thursday through Sunday.
Hey, thanks for the tip, I'll check 'em out. When it gets closer to the date, we'll have to get ahold of each other, it would be a lot more fun "kickin' it with friends/fellow HAMBers than walking around by ourselves!! We'll be driving down, so we will get there on thursday, and leave mon. morning....thanks again...Ken
Me and my buddies stay across the St. @ the Rio. It's close & affordable for 5 guys who share the cost of the room. None of us buy the tickets for the music anymore. On thursday we get there & watch everyone driving in to the parking lot. We like staying across the street for many reasons like the view from our room and the *****in pool they have @ the Rio. It's close to everything and we've always have been treated great.
dude, save time and frustration by just going to the primer nationals of another big show like that. bottom line if your into the rockerbilly scene that is all it is. check out any magazine with viva coverage, only one or two new cool cars show up the rest have been the same since it started. go to paso or something else.
