Ok, so I am getting going on my new 37 pickup and am thinking dropped axle, hopped flattie, wide whites, pretty low key but cool. Stock bodied. Does anyone have any pics or thoughts? I would love to see more 35-37 pickups...even 38-39 would work!!
My '39 I bought from HAMBer ElRusto..........I'd like to keep it but I'm out of room. It will be for sale soon.
I'm starting on a 37 for someone soon. 'Cept it's a real truck, dual wheels etc. I think we're going to take 3 - 4 feet out of the middle of the ch***is for starters! I'd love to see more pics of the 37's. Don't see them too often.
Here it is...it's not quite nice enough to just throw some TLC at it and drive...So I am going to take it apart a little and do it right. I am changing the brakes to hydrallic, tossing the 4 speed for a 3 speed, and just bought a running 37 21 styd that I have alumin heads and intake, along with a Vern Tardell slingshot for dual carbs. The tires will be firestone 7:50 16 rears, and 6:00 16 fronts. I want to leave the body as much orriginal as possible, but have to fixe some of the dents and cracks in the fenders. I also got a set of guide headlights for it...but it will pretty much be stock bodied, even bumbers! Whatcha think. ps, these were taken the day I got it. I added the whitewalls But enough on this one, lets see some more
Hey Chris, I dig it. You're all over that like white on rice. Damn, what a mighty fine specimen. definitely keep up the posts. Hey Mutley, what you want for that '39? I'm in the midst of liquidation. I could only HOPE mine looks as good as yours when I'm done with it. For now, it will be sans fenders. I'm trying to get to Arlington to pick up some body parts for mine. PM me w/ a number, if you don't mind. Thanks.
