ford coil wire question????

hey gang, were workin on my 53 ford pu at the moment....its a 215 inline....i cant recall how the wire was on the coil! does the neg side of coil go to the dist??????thanks much!!!rp

The points ground the coils primary windings so whatever the ground on your system goes to the distributor. .....Bob

 

Negative Ground = - on coil to dist points
Positive Ground = + on coil to dist points
