So my lincoln is just about ready for paint. I am still confused on what to do with this damn thing. I'm not sure If I should keep the top white and have the rest painted or paint the whole thing the same color or what exact color or...... etc etc. Please give me some inspiration/ideas. I was thinking a nice green.... Not 100% stuck on that though. ACK! Help! Thanks guys.....
Green works for me. Maybe a goldish green or chartreuse or something like that. Or if you want it darker, a deep emerald green. Put some pearl or flake in the white top maybe. I love this green I saw on this custom about five years ago. I think it's a kandy job.
I always liked the lime gold color from 67 shelbys. (factory color) id keep it white top just add some green flake or pearl white flake. and green body.
What I did was to copy my car and use the printer to paint my car.....had about 50 different combinations......hung them in the garage all over the place.....process of elimination.....every time I was in the garage I took one down I decided that I didnt like....last one left on wall won......stan
Inside joke Dreadman. He was the recipiant of the Rebel gorilla,5051 found in the car when he bought it.

Gorilla black......Great Idea LMFAO I'm just going to cover the entire outside of the car in Black fur. LOL. Ahhh....I needed that laugh..... I do like that green. Its kinda what I had in mind. I wasnt sure about some light flake in the top. I think it'd be good looking, but I just wasnt totally sure. The multiple color picture thing is great also. Anyone have any actual color charts, ppg or otherwise or any specific car examples/pics?
emerald green with watson style panels done in silver, gold, or blue. white top with green b*** boat flake and lace.
I still need help guys!!! Does anyone have any specific colors with names??? I like the greens, but I'm totally open. Was thinking of a gloss top maybe with a panel in the center and the botton matte. Show me pics!! Give me names!!! I'm ge***ng close to having to make a decision! LoL Damn choices....
how about a rusty orange color?? with the white padded top. gold/cream pinstriping, flipper hubcaps with a thin gold accent on the caps with 3 extra flippers added???
Greens are really hot stuff right now, so keep it as is. Otherwise go to your local auto paint supply store and start going through their chip books. It is your car. Are you going to do it all, or have a shop do it? How much are you willing to spend? Is this a driver or show car? What color interior does it have? I have a '54 Chevy with a red interior and want to do sometning in a single stage that is not black/white or silver. Been looking and still looking for the "right" color. Hard to do.
So far not really. I have found a decent dark green metallic I like. I think it itmay be too dark on the car though. I dig the idea for silver or gold scallops. I think that would be slick. Damn. Its still killing me....
How about a cream yellow with a black top or white top or baby blue with a white top just a few ideas to get your mind thinking.
