Hi Guys Just was wondering where to get 1950 Merc panels. Also would like your thoughts on, fit and price. Thanks Guys Roland
Have fun Roland they're not as easy to find panels for as you would imagine. I got my Rocker panels from Mercuryland, dunno what the fit is like cuz I ain't fitted them yet but the quality seems ok. Pics of your Merc please
Contact Tony on here..He has a bunch of 50 Merc sheetmetal he is suppose to be listing for a friend..I think he as quarters, grill surround & etc!!
Hi Guys Cheers for your replys. Right here goes. Its a 2 door 1950 mercury. What is needed definitely is complete floor pans, trans tunnel and maybe inner and outer Rockers. Cheers for looking. Roland
In 1994 I bought floors, inner and outer rockers, trunk floor, quarter patch panels from Green Mountain Parts in Orwell, VT. Very good quality. Their phone # then was 802-948-2086. Around Nov. 2006 a discussion was on the HAMB as to whether or not Green Mountain was still in business or will be reopening. The contact person at Green Mountain was Mike Dundon. Others on HAMB may have more up-to-date info.
Here is a source for floor pans .....I purchased front and rear plus the toe boards.....they were very well done and fit great.....I have a 1950 2 door coupe. http://www.classicfabrication.com/
I bought some floorpans on E-Bay MIKESTUDE.He has and reproduces Green Mountain parts.Nice quality 802-948-2011.I also bought some patch panels from Gene Winfield 661-824-4728.
I compiled a list a while back: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=331564&highlight=mercury+reproduction
Thanks Roland for asking a question about foor pans. Alot of good leads. I have a 50 merc. Going down to s.c. this week I'll take a look at Classic fab. Thanks to everyone for you help.
I'm parting a '50 coupe right now and my trans tunnel is probably still good, let me know if you need that, probably isn't reproduced. I could check on it.
david in texas had some nice fenders and other parts last time i talked to him. send me a message if you want his number. he has a small junkyard and access to a lot of other car parts.
