Well it is 60 days till departure till the Roundup. I got lots of parts ordered, a 9 "hung under the 38. I got tons to do in a short time but I need the parts. How are all the other thrashes going and late minute changes everyone is trying to make for the Roundup?

No thrash is like your thrash. But, I'm stressing a bit on mine and dad's ****.

I got all the exterior, and interior work on the Riviera done on Saturday. I still need to cut and weld up some holes in the "X" frame reroute the exhaust up so I dont drag it off on Congress. So thats simple enough

Then I plan to have my '58 Pickup bagged and draggin' between now and then, fingers crossed.........

  5. I WOULD have had a rolling ch***is this weekend, but my left front spindle is locked up. I am putting on another axle and juice brakes, but it would have been nice to roll it out of the garage without a floorjack.

    Hmmm-
well my 350 should be getting here from City Motor Supply in SA today. Dropping the wounded Snow Blind off at Crushproof to do the heart transplant. I also have some buffing/wet sanding to do here and there. Since SB is my daily, I have an added incentive to get finished PDQ-more like 7 days 'til I need to drive to San Marcos!
My old 235 is going to my neighbor and he's putting it into an old 50's a-bodied centerdrive dirt tracker that he plans on having ready by Roundup, so I'll probably help with that as well.
Late nights, many beers, war stories, bench racing, Black Sabbath and Dixie Witch up loud...
    sounds like fun!:D

My "thrashes" compared to some of you guys are really more like mild wiggles, but last year I really was thrashing... and I was two f*ing months late for the RoundUp. Chalk up to over-optimism and inexperience.

This year, all I'm doing to my ford before the roundup is:
new transmission/converter, cooler, shifter and radiator

    Haven't got any parts yet.

All the guys here at Crushproof helped me out in getting the new 400 in. New wheels are next. Install my bumpers and I'm done.

I'm crying over here, The Roundup is the best show/event we have going with regards to static displays, beer, music, beer. There ain't gonna be one here, but lots of vintage Padmini Premiers running around.

All of those who can go, need to go.

I only have 3 cars to put motors in-not counting the 2 I personally own.
2 paint jobs... a ch***is to re-***emble...I'm sure there's more, but I am too busy to remember.

and all the same time, I have to build a paint shop.-in the last 4 months, we have expanded an additional 2000 square feet, hired 3 guys on full time (we're looking for more) and doubled our production schedule. we are growing too fast for me to keep up, it seems.
oh well, better to be too busy than not busy enough!:)

    Rusty,
My entry fee is sent in, the Flathead 3w is raring to go to the Roundup(for the first time in 3 years, I'm not killing myself getting it ready!!!).....but to make up for it.....my present thrash is on the 5w, getting ready to make the 32 Party on the Left Coast. I guess if it were not for deadlines, nothing would get done in my world:D !!!
